Great service - Horrible food.


I remember this place fondly, half a chicken, delicious rice, low price and just the right amount of vinegar on the cabbage "salad" - how far the mighty have fallen! It's been a long time since I've gone to this incarnation of the Yasuko name - and I will never go back. the last half chicken was sold right before I ordered so I bought three different versions of the cut up varieties - with the same result. The meat is dry and tasteless, the sauce was awful, the only thing I could stomach was the shredded cabbage. I guess the next time our regular terriyaki spot (Terriyaki Madness on 15th) is closed we'll make a different food choice altogether. I don't know how they stay in business, no one finished their food, it was a waste of $20.

Review

I have purchased food at 3 of these restaurants. Of the 3, the one on Broadway had the best food, however the worker(s) and manager are extremely rude and unprofessional. All 3 restaurants are dirty and in need of repair. The East Lake Uniion location serves virtually all fat for it's pork dishes, and none of the restaurants want to improve on or re-imburse for un-quality food, especially Kumi, and they argue with the customers at the Broadway location. None of the employees seem to communicate in English very well, and no one either knows or will give the owner's name and phone number..
