Wild Small Animal Care
I just wanted to say that on two occasions I have found injured wild small birds and Highland Animal Hospital was more than willing to take the animals in and nurse them back to health until they were ready to go back to their natural habitat. I thank God for such a caring place and for His love for us and the animals!Amazing!
We were refered to Highland Animal Hospital from snake lovers on craigslist and I am so glad! Our snake was attacked by an evil rat and wasn't healing properly so I called to make an appointment and they let us come in right away! They were so nice and caring and great all around. I would recomend everyone to let Highland Animal hospital care for their pets!BEST OF THE BEST!!!!!!!
Dr. Walker and his staff will EXCEED your expectations! Dr. Walker has been my vet for the past 14 years and is awesome! He took care of my iguanas in the beginning until they passed and the last 11 yrs and 2 months he took care of my dog (aka my daughter) from 2 months until last week when we sadly had to put her down. The kindness and compassion of him & his staff - understanding that your pet is not just an animal, but a huge part of your family is priceless. If he was a human doctor I would go to him for the following reasons: he will always explain what is going on, how things work, recommend treatments/medications, and be straight forward with you but in a compassionate way. If you are taking any of your family anywhere else, I recommend you switch to Dr. Walker!!Very Good DVM
I have had animals all my life and trained animals all my life. I obtained info from dog trainers, obedience school, vets. So after obedience school, doing lots of reading and getting advice from the experts I had lost hope with our female version of Marley. But after seeing him for our annuals, Dr Walker seemed extremely knowledgeable and experienced and after heeding his advice our dog is behaving much better. Dr Walker took good medical care of my cat and dog. If you need a vet, I recommend him and I am very picky. Cathy PTAKE YOUR ANIMAL ELSEWHERE
Save yourself some grief and go elsewhere. I've been with them for a couple of years or more now. I go there frequently unlike most veterinary patrons, because I have a ton of dogs. They always need something. Almost every visit I had with them had a bad experience attached to it. I overlooked the small stuff at first, like doing things without consulting me and charging me for it - I hate that. I switched vets a couple of months ago to my mothers long term vet. I changed vets because I was told when I brought my male shar pei puppy in with a huge gash in his kneck that, his wound was too large to close and to come back in a week to see if he has new skin and they can soe him up. He left on open wound treatment. That was a dumb lie to tell. To think that a dog could grow skin that was strong enough to suture within a week is poposterous. To say a shar pei (wrinkled dog) has no skin to close is bunk, now...I took him home and he fell asleep that night, the wound almost closedWorldwide > United States > Augusta, GA > Veterinarians
