What a loss with out Dr Knapp
Dr Renda Knapp was a great OBGYN at the Women;s Group who relocated. She was kind, honest, caring and very knowledgable. she is missed at the Women's group and i know alot of patients who have left because she is gone.Do not Recommend
The Woman's Group at Tampa Palms is great at marketing itself but beware. The office is beautiful and the classical music playing over their speakers is nice and soothing, the chairs are comfortable thankfully because you will end up waiting at least 45 minutes for each office visit. The physicians are nice but are young and inexperienced and seem to lack mentoring. As a result you get a nice office which lacks professionalism, bed side manner and true service. Their receptionists lack tact and it takes forever to book in for an appointment. My sisters in law and friends & I have attended the woman's group for our pregnancies and we have all had awful delivery and follow-up experiences. As a result we have all switched to different practices. I strongly urge you to do your research and to find experienced and qualified OBGYN's. Do not be taken by the fancy marketing tactics of this office because it is all talk and no walk!Saved my Life!
Yes, there is always a waiting period at a good Doctor's office. I have personally had a great experience with all of their office staff and Doctor's. I would not be here if it were not for Dr. Sanchez diagnosing my cancer on time. I find everyone at The Women's Group professional and have many times referred family and friends...all of whom have had great experiences as well. The Best
Dr. Barreiro is an awesome doctor. She was at the doctor on call the day before and the day after I had my son. She has an amazing bed side manner and is extremely sweet. She was able to answer all me questions and was kind and understanding. She also helped my deal with my miscarriage prior to this last pregnancy and she was very kind and helpful with that aswell. Dr. Whaba delievered my son and she was amazing aswell. I could not have asked for a better experience. The Woman's Group - Tampa
Nice looking office at The Tampa Palms location, but VERY small. The front desk is slow and the wait is Extremley long. Sometimes you have no where to sit, so you stand. The doctor's are nice, but lost in technology, they never know whats going on with you and each visit they have to ask you over and over again what your labs or results are. They have a Lap-Top with your chart/ information, but some of the doctors don't know how to view the images or find your information, therefore they ask you. I find it very frustrating, b/c all I want is a knowledgable doctor. Rather go to the office on Virginia, near St.Joes Hospital. That staff is great and the doctors seem more experience, but the doctors still don't know your status, until they ask you or take several minutes to look through their Tech Laptop. Very unprofessional.RUDE AWFUL and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL
First off, at least a 30 minute phone wait every time I call... Then about 45-1 hour to be seen and when they finally do see you they don't have a clue who you are and it is very cold. I was told to go to the hospital because of something minor and I let them know it was not possible until later that day because of my small children who depended on me to pick them up from school since my husband was out of town. THEY DISCHARGED ME as their patient. How uncaring. How dare they make me sacrifice my children's well being and not give me the ability to go to the hospital later that day. They sent me a terrible letter and were very rude to me. This after I had 2 children with them and spent thousands of dollars there. UGGG Have more to say but this system won't let me. My new doctor never did understand why they wanted me to go to the hospital. The sonogram that their tech did was WRONG and showed something that was not there. I then spoke to many other moms which I HAD SENT TO SEE THEM andBarreiro Judith L Md is an amazing doctor.
I have been going to the women's group and seeing Dr Barreiro for the last 3 years. She is a wonderful doctor and I have referred many over to the office. While there is often a long wait, that is what happens when you have a caring doctor that takes their time with you and does not rush to get to the next appointment. I would much rather wait knowing that she will take that same time with me. I recently had to have surgery and again Dr. Barreiro was wonderful, I can't say enough good things about her. The office is sometimes slow and not as polite as I may want them to be, but ulitmately, they are not the ones who are caring for me, the doctor is, so I can deal with that. I would happily recommend Dr. Barreiro over and over again.Impossible
Their online appointment setting is very faulty at best. They do not respond to messages sent through the patient portal. To get a hold of them over the phone is nearly impossible. I am so disappointed about this. I was never even able to get through the door. If you are able to, good luck. I don't imagine they manage anything else much better.I Cannot Recommend the Woman's Group Of Tampa Palms
I have to agree with another reviewer who said the doctors are young and inexperienced. I almost lost my son during labor because they could not find my doctor. When she finally arrived flipping her hair and sounding irritated, she coldly said, We need to do an emergency c-section. Your baby is in distress and his heart rate has crashed. I knew this from the panicked nurses running around looking for my doctor for 10 minutes! This is the same doctor who informed my husband that she would never have children because she's seen what it does to your body! and the same doctor who forgot to schedule my induction. In her favor, I have a beautiful c-section scar. All that vanity paid off! At my first visit, the new doctor (there always seemed to be a new doctor to the practice who was confused by the technology and routine) forgot to do my PAP and some other initial tests. As an older mom, I needed to be sure to do the usual testing for fetal problems and the doctors continuallyDO NOT USE THIS PRACTICE
I recently moved from Wi during my pregnancy and was recommended to The Women's Group by a friend. It took 2 weeks just to set up an appointment. The office itself is very beautiful, but not kid-friendly, it was like sitting in a funeral parlor. After waiting 30 minutes the very rude receptionist informed me that I had my insurance info written incorrectly (turns out she is just an idiot). Then I was told it was their policy to collect my entire insurance deductible that day up front. ($4000.00) I refused to pay that and asked for my medical records. I was told they don't keep the records there and that I have to fill out another form. What a waste of time. The office staff is rude, and incompetent. I plan on filing many complaints. Worst Dr. experience ever!TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Liam Marcus' Voice -Ok, the office impressed me. The ambiance impressed me. The abundance in contraception advertisement impressed me. The attitude of the staff impressed me. Now let's make the distinction between negative and positive, shall we? Impressions do matter in a lot of circumstances, and this was definitely one of them. Let's talk about the negative so you can easily pick the positive. Negatively impressed with the abundance of contraception advertisement. This office MUST get paid for all of it or my name is not Liam Marcus. At least three methods of contraception were in display in the examining room, a dozen in the literature in the waiting room, and advertisements EVERYWHERE. Advertisements for Botox, baby formula, acne treatments, plastic surgery - you name it! The tour 'de France moment, the staff alienating me from participating in one of my wife's most wonderful, most spiritually powerful, and happy journeys - procreation.
