Re: Comment by Hankhound
Statement from Uncle Gio's Management: The Uncle Gio's location at 6448 Nolensville Road is not the same Uncle Gio's that was at 401 Harding Place and called Uncle's Gio's Italian Buffet. That location is closed and was under different management and was a separate corporation from Uncle Gio's at 6448 Nolensville Road. We have a few calls in regards to credit card charges from that business and have explained this to the callers, and as per credit card company regulations referred them back to their credit card companies to seek further action. We have never turned away a customer from our location at 6448 Nolensville Road that has been overcharged or double charged. We believe the comment posted by Hankhound is not only inaccurate, but slanderous towards our business as we have not had ANY recent credit card issues at the 6448 Nolensville Road location. Additionally, we have not turned anyone away for credit card issues at this location. We encourage anyone to always ask for a manager if you have any questions or concerns and we will be happy to assist.unclegiosmgmt misleading
I believe the comments by unclegiosmgmt on 1/3/08 are a bit misleading. He refers to the other location as having different management and a different location. However, the two entities are obviously owned byAvoid this place!
Thinking this would be authentic pizza and a fun new place to try, my husband and I took our kids for Friday night pizza. After looking over the menu and deciding on the pizza we wanted, the waiter kindly (couldn't he have told us before we sat down??) that pizza would take over one hour to be served. Wasn't this a pizza place? He said that due to delivery orders and people already in the restaurant, there was no way they could get the pizza to us any sooner. Imagine explaining that to our two hungry kids! We left and will not go back. If they can't handle the pizza orders, either hire some more cooks or install some more ovens! Or at least advertise correctly...we won't go back. Sorry Gio.Great Pizza
I visited Uncle Gio's for the first time last week on a Wed night. The waiter was very friendly. Complimetary bread was served and the food wait was average. We got the Sicillian Pizza and thought it was huge and delicious. There was plenty leftover after we were done too. The price was great for the amount of food we got and the taste. I would definitely go back again.stay away from this place.......
terrible food.........maybe in New York Hungry but not Nashville. The worst service, the poorest quality food, bad advertising, misleading....resturant is now shut under the premise of renovation yet is less than 2 years old...my guess is their bad rep caught up with them....food is overpriced, over cooked, tasteless, too salty, bad tomato sauce........if there were a lower score than one star, they would deserve it.......Best canolli's in the south
When they had the place at Nolensville and Harding where the old Shoney's used to be. They did have some problems there, but I never could understand why they shut the doors. Several of us ate there at least 3 times a week. The spagetti was sometimes over cooked but not always, and when they got the hand made pizza it was out of this world. The servers we always had were great and would apologize if something wasn't out or right.ok i used to work there and this is what happened....
OK TO THE FIRST PERSON WHO COMMENTED ABOUT HOW BOTH HAD TO BE OWNED BY THE SAME PERSON ... THEY WEREN'T... THE PEOPLE WERE IN THE SAME FAMILY... BUT UNCLE GIO IS REALLY UNCLE GIO (REAL PERSON) HIS NEPHEWS ON THE OTHER HAND CAME UP WITH THE MONEY AND RAN THE HARDING PLACE RESTAURANT... TECHNICALLY THEY OWNED IT. AND UNCLE GIO HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT... BUT UNCLE GIO WAS SUCH A GOOD PERSON THAT HE OFTEN WAS TOO NICE TO HIS FAMILY AND COME TO FIND OUT ... HIS BAD NEPHEWS HAD BEEN STEALING MONEY FROM CUSTOMERS AT THE HARDING PLACE RESTAURANT ... AND THEREFORE UNCLE GIO LOST BUSINESS AND HAD TO SHUT DOWN ... AND IN LEUI OF RISKING THAT HIS CUSTOMERS WOULD FIND OUT AND PUT HIM UNDER. THE OLD UNCLE GIO'S WILL NOW BE THIS DELI PLACE. I HOPE THIS HASN'T CHANGED YOUR OPINION B/C THEY WERE ALL HOME MADE RECIPES AND UNCLE GIO IS A STAND UP MAN!no longer exist, and has very bad people runing new restaurant at same location ..
DO NOT GO HERE, the original restaurant is closed, the one there now is the worst...save your self time, and dont waste it there.....BAD PLACEWorldwide > United States > Antioch, Nashville, TN > Pizza
