Honda Headquarters
If you are looking for quality service for you Honda, Triangle Cycle is the place to be. The dealership has changed to more Yamaha over the years but you can still get quality service for your Honda.Service Manager shouldn't be there.
Well this is a long story but here goes. First of all they say that they can work on anything on their musical hold and the first manufacturer they mention is Yahama. Well there is a disclaimer to that once you get there. It turns out that if the bike is over 10 years old they may not be able to get parts, ok no big deal because that's how thing are. There is no nighttime drop box so that was kind of a pain. I get the bike to them on a Wednesday and the soonest appointment is Friday. Well this is a bit of a pain because I could have had someone other than the dealer look at the bike but I'd feel more comfortable with the dealer looking at it. So Friday comes and I call them three times. First time at about 10am, I get that they are going to look at it. Second time at about 2:00, same thing. Third time is 4:00 and they said they had a 'priority' and couldn't look at my bike. Mind you I have an 'appointment' and I'm paying dealer rates. So to boot they are not open on Mondays. Tuesday comes around and they look at my bike. To be fair they asked me to bring some old parts I had from the original owner. I bring them to them and again I get bumped in the service queue. Wednesday I call and they tell me all they have to do is button it up, but for whatever reason they don't. Thursday, I get the latest news they need a gasket (that they could have ordered when they knew they were taking off the carbs, unless they were going to reuse and in that case it would not be cool). At this point I get a bit ticked off because this has been going on for way too long. I have words with the service manager and his reply to me was "I'M DOING YOU A FAVOR BY WORKING ON THIS BIKE", again I'm paying top dealer rates! Friday, Saturday,Sunday, Monday(not open) and now it's Tuesday, they got the part and might be able to look at it. Well Now I find out that they might be able to look at it Friday. I found out my neighbors got bikes from there and have the same service issues too! Good luck!Triangle Cycles Service Dept needs some improvement.
OK so I was riding around for a bit and stopped for a break at 4PM on a Saturday afternoon. I stopped for a break and then went to cranker back up and ... nothing. I made some Calls and Oneal @Triangle answered the phone. He was very helpful and eventually agreed to come out and pick me up @ 5pm on a Saturday afternoon. Once my bike was in the shop There was some miscommunication and then at times I was unable to acertain the status of my bike all together. I was told they were simply to busy to talk. I wasn't gonna drive 60 miles to check so I called back some days later and was told the same thing. I know Goldwings are a pain, and it takes time to tear down the fairings etc... But communication regarding expected delays in diagnosis etc... would have made my experience a great deal more favorable. Once there was good communication and an understanding of what to expect I was happy.Regarding KKing review.
You've got to know that it takes 3 or 4 hours to pull the fairings off of a Gold Wing to really get to the troubleshooting on the bike. Most of the bikes that come into the shop at Triangle suffer from the stupid things that people do to their bikes. No oil, no coolant, dead battery, bald tires, 'do it yourself wiring', 'parked it for the winter' and it just won't start are the top 6. March is a busy month because people are dusting off their bikes.Excellent service
I bought a new motorcycle from Triangle Cycles several years ago and they've always been incredibly helpful in the service department. One time, when I asked them about servicing a problem, the guy from the service department told me how to do it myself so I didn't have to spend money or time bringing it to their shop. They are friendly, helpful, and know what they are doing. Most of the guys in the sales department are helpful without being pushy. Importantly, they didn't try to be snobby about the size of the bike. (My bike is 250.) I wish all businesses provided service as well as Triangle Cycles!Worldwide > United States > Durham, NC > Motorcycles Sales & Repair
