Travel Incident
While 2,000 miles from any vet I was familiar with, my little dog started acting listless and then wouldn't eat - not even MY food. I had no idea what was wrong. No visible injuries, no limp, always an indoor dog, but was obviously in some sort of discomfort. He needed medical care and I was at a loss. Diagnosis was rendered and that night after only 2 doses of medication, my little dog was eating again.

My Sick Baby
I am giving this review a little late I have finally gotten over the loss of my Siberian Husky Sierra. I brought her to Timberland Animal Hospital and Dr. Volk and I presume his wife were absolutely wonderful. My dog was licking the metal grates to my furnace and leaking urine non stop. I knew she was sick but no vet from here to orono would help except Dr. Volk. They gave me immediate and adequate help for her. At the age of 14 she was buying time anyway but we tried everything to make life comfortable for her. I just want everyone to know that these people are the most kind hearted caregivers for our pets I have ever met and I would recommend them to anyone who wants prompt and necessary care given to their family friends.

excellent care?
I have been going here with my animals for many years. Dr. Volk is an excellent doctor and has always been very good with my pets. I recently had an experience with them that upset me though. My oldest baby, Athena was very sick and I called to get an appointment. Ann suggested I take her to another vet as they did not have an appointment that day or many days after. I did as she suggested and took her to another vet who diagnosed her with megaesophogus. It has been a terrible time with her and she keeps losing weight. My problem is that my trust was gone with Timberland because they would not make the effort to at least see her after her being a patient there for 10 years. Dr. Volk has always given her excellent care and I feel that they blew me off and pushed me to another vet for no reason.
