I am writing about your recent article about the city's rat problem. While you did mention that a big part of the solution is to rid your property of food sources for rats, you did not mention their biggest and most favorite food source. Rats love dog droppings. And there are way too many dogs in this city. If everyone who owned a dog in SCS replaced it with a large breed cat, we would have NO rats!! Realizing this will never happen, the least thing dog owners can do is clean up after their dogs EVERY DAY!!!
