Never again!

MOST of the people there are very nice. However all it takes is one bad experience with one individual and BOOM...I will never go back there again. I have done business on and off with Tango for about 5 years so I have seen and heard...

Wonderful girlie experience!!

I live in Cary but travel to Garner every other week or so to have Quan do my nails. I like acrylics because they hold up well even with a lot of hard use. Quan takes terrific care to protect my skin from injury. He pays close...

Not my favorite

The staff here was very busy and I waited for a long time to get my nails done. I did not have an appointment, but I usually just show up wherever I go. I even asked the lady who did my nails, if it would be easier for her if I came back another day and she told me no, but I still wound up waiting for over 45 minutes. I might go back if I am in the area, but I won't make any special trips to come here.

So so experience

The manicurist, Quan, did an okay job for a gel fill but the product he used did not have any identification on it. Also, he put some of the gel product on my skin which is a big no-no. My pedicurist was terrible. She was barely paying attention to her work and seemed to rush through the process. I didn't feel the work was worth the price of the pedicure much less a decent tip. I usually am a good tipper but strongly believe that the work performed has to merit the tip. I don't just tip 15% because it's standard. The salon was also unkempt and didn't clearly display manicurist licenses or cleanliness grade levels. I wouldn't return there.

These are things to consider when checking out a salon: (all from WRAL's website; I couldn't attach the link here)

"A few red flags that suggest consumers might want to try a different salon:
* They use unmarked bottles.
* The technician can't tell customers what's in the products.
* The products smell unusually strong or strange.
* The technician scrapes or cuts customers' skin.

"Experts said that, during a proper gel manicure, the technician uses a file to barely roughen the top of the fingernails, then rushes an all-in-one gel onto the nails, not the surrounding skin. Then, they use a UV lamp to harden the gel.

But experts warn that most of the ingredients used in nail products are not tested for safety by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration before they're sold. In fact, some of the acrylics used with gels can be associated with fingernail damage and deformity."

Be informed or else your bad experience can become a health issue later.
