Horrible Vet... if you care about your animals... don't take them here!!!
This place is old, smells bad, and they will try to jack up your bill anyway they can! The people working in the front are very rude and are liars! Our dog was in severe hip pain but we couldn't afford to have costly xrays so we agreed to post-date a check so she could be seen. They deposited the check immediately, overdrew my account for hundreds of dollars... then refused to reimburse me and tried to tell me it was my fault!!! Bad business people!OUTSTANDING VET
I have been bringing my cats to Juan Tabo Animal Clinic for 15+ years. Ken Sweeney, DVM, is the most caring, knowledgeable, responsive vet I have ever used. Maria Schott, DVM is also excellent - knew immediately what was wrong with my cat when she entered the room. The staff members with whom I have interacted are first class. This clinic's prices are absolutely reasonable and quite a bit cheaper than the prices friends have quoted me from other vet clinics. They are always willing to discuss their prices upfront and regularly give me estimates. I would NEVER trust my animals to anyone else.Merlin
We have used four other vets in the Albuquerque area over the last 25 years or so, the Juan Tabo Animal Clinic may not be the most modern building in the city, but, Dr Sweeney is the best vet we have ever had. Because of this, we will continue to take our remaining dogs and any dogs we get in the future to this clinic to see Dr. Sweeney. Vet prices are with in range of other clinics. My dog and I will never go back.....
The clinic smells beyond what a vet clinic should smell like. Maybe it was the awful woman receptionist. I brought my dog in with serious injuries and she just snubbed her nose at us and said we'd have to wait a week or so for an appointment. She gave no suggestions as to any emergency veterinarians in ABQ of which I NOW KNOW there are 2 in ABQ that will take pets ANYTIME, give advice, and actually CARE about pet owners and their pets!A fair review
I started going to Juan Tabo Animal clinic, mainly because it is very close to my house. I've never been to other clinics, they are the first and only I've ever taken my dogs to. I think the building is kind of crummy, the interior is muchly in need of a contemporary remodel-- as it hasn't been the 1970's in quite some time. But I guess that is just superficial stuff.Worldwide > United States > Albuquerque, NM > Veterinarians
