Good Service Until They Make A Mistake And You Get To Pay For It

My girlfriend and I used Sudzland's drop-off service and were happy with it for several months. Then they lost 1/3rd of a batch of clothes because the employee on duty "had to run out" and did not pass off the job to her stand-in properly. Not only did we then discover that their 'policy' is to only pay out up to $50 when this happens (the laundry lost cost $145 to replace), but the very employee who lost the laundry made persistent, incredibly offensive attempts to imply that we were somehow doing something shady.

I also had to dig through their abandoned clothes bags to see if the lost laundry was there. These bags contain clothes they took out of washers, wet, without drying, and so are full of mold, which I breathed a great deal of looking for my clothes. I've been sick to the point of not being able to work because of this for a week and counting.

So, their dropoff service is great as long as you're lucky and they don't get your laundry stolen for you. If you're not absolutely always lucky, though, better limit what you drop off with them to $50 worth of socks and underwear, with itemized photographic proof of what you handed them.
