A Great Italian Restaurant...
... but kill the neon. Still, Strings is where you want to go when you want romance, but still want to wear jeans and a t-shirt on a balmy Vegas night. They recently streamlined their menu and the selections are still wonderfully tasty, including their all-you-can-eat salad. Is it just like Rome or Venice? Of course not. This is a very affordable Italian restaurant that is catering to a local crowd with good portions, great service and just a nice place to be (although, please, guys, kill that neon inside).not so great
After reading the reviews on this page I was not overly excited about eating at Strings, however, it seemed worth a shot.THAT'S AMORE
At first glance when you walk in the door, the place looks small and is sparcely decorated, but the service was great. The restaurant itself was extremely clean. The soup and salad good. There was a lot of food for the price. A+I felt a little let down
Several of my family members have referred me to Strings before so I thought id check it out. The atmosphere is nothing fabulous, if anything it felt a little cheap, so that was a a turn off right away. Service was about what you would expect in any typical restaurant, waiter took our order, smiled, brought us food, drinks stayed pretty much full. I ordered a pasta dish with shrimp and peppers and such which sounded pretty good on the menu, but was not up to par when i got it. The main problem was that it was entirely too greasy, it was especially ridiculous for a seafood dish. I cant remember what my girlfriend had but she wasnt really impressed by her food either. Maybe it was just a bad day for the cook or something but it was enough to keep me from coming back.I highly disagree
I grew up with many great-uncles from the Old Country. On our first visit to this family owned restaurant, there were two older gentlemen nestled in the corner with their napkins tucked in their shirts, I loved it. The food is unique and any dish we have tried is great. The salad is a wonderfully unique blend. We have taken my parents and some friends there and all have been impressed. It is sparce and small and that is the point. By the way, I hate Olive Garden and it is not Italian at all. So basically, if you also hate the Olive Garden and other chains, you will love this place. I must say though I didn't like the house wine.Great Experience
My Hubby and I went there very often - First is their food; Second is their service.Give and take
Went for lunch with friends. I think they have only 2 people working the tables...1 waitress, 1 busboy. The waitress was not very friendly, and borderlined inattentive. She came by and asked how everything was when we got the salad and bread, but never bothered when the actual food was brought to our table.Worldwide > United States > Las Vegas, NV > Seafood Restaurants
