Still looking for good barbeque
Seattle has almost no good barbeques – so I went here with high hopes and they were dashed. The meat was tough and tasteless. The sauce added nothing. Four of us went and ordered different things and general consensus was that there was not reason to return.so-so
nothing to shout about but if you are in the area...give them a try. a little pricey for what you get.Overpriced for BBQ. Not very authentic...
So I'm watching the food network hungover from my weekend of excessive drinking during Seafair, when the intense craving for BBQ just hits me. Normally I'd drive over to Jones or Pecos Pitt but I was entirely too hungover to drive that far. Slo Joe's was close enough, I mean how bad could it be?Overpriced yet lackluster BBQ
After spending 10 bucks for a sandwich, small side, and a drink I hoped it would be some darn good BBQ. I was sadly disappointed. I grew up in the South, I know what BBQ is supposed to taste like and this ain't it. The pulled beef brisket, while tender, lacked any real flavor. I even asked for the spicy sauce in hopes of getting the most out of my 10 dollar lunch and was let down by that too. The Mac 'n Cheese was very good, shame I only got a dixie cup sized portion of that as a side. The most flavorful portion of my lunch was the hotlink, the one item they don't make themselves. When it comes to BBQ I'll take good and I'll take cheap and I understand that you cant always have both, but in this case I didn't get either.Worldwide > United States > Seattle, WA > Steakhouses
