My child has been enrolled at SLK Learning Center for 6 months and since that time, I have seen great improvement in his reading and writing skills. The Director listened to my concerns and created a program to meet my child’s needs. I highly recommend SLK to any student that needs help in their studies.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this place isn't worth my time or money. I was confident that my daughter was getting the support she needed at first, but then tutors, including hers, started leaving at an alarming rate. And the turnover really affected the quality of service at this center. My daughter's tutor was awesome, but then she was replaced by someone who was clearly inexperienced. The director would sometimes sub for the new teacher, and she wasn't all that great either. I noticed that my daughter wasn't improving at the same rate as before. I suppose when turnover is high, management must be lacking in some way, shape, or form. I wasn't going to pay for tutoring without results, so we left after a few months. It was an unfortunate and regrettable experience.

I don't know where to begin. Management is terrible. I was over billed on my son's books, even when we had been working from photocopies for weeks. (He'd be half-way through one workbook having completed photocopied worksheets, and they'd charge us for the entire workbook PLUS material fees!) Didn't make any sense. Such a rip-off. I'd receive messages that I haven't made payments on time, and I had to show proof that I did about 2 or 3 times...but not before I received rude emails from the woman who handled the invoices. An older man who works there would get peeved when I tried to reschedule my son's lessons. He was so annoyed that we had to change lesson dates because of sickness or extracurricular activities that I ended up canceling lessons without rescheduling classes. I just didn't like dealing with him. The director was also another pain. If it wasn't for some of the tutors she hired, I don't think this place would have any business. She wasn't very poised for someone expected to run a business...once she was mumbling about some kind of problem, and she tried to drag me into it. She commented on cultural differences between clients, and that was just uncalled for. I didn't think it was a healthy place for my son, and I'm glad we didn't stay too long.
