Great Food, Great Atmosphere
We always try to eat here at least once every time we visit the quaint little town of St. Augustine. The historic Santa Maria restaurant is perched on stilts out in the harbor, with a 360 degree view of the bay. They serve very fresh seafood in generous portions, reasonably priced; the average entree is around $7.00. The atmosphere is very relaxed; you will feel comfortable in just jeans and a T-shirt. You can kick back on the deck with a Singapore Sling, and watch the boats go by. The Santa Maria is a must-try.

Awful food, terrible service.....
The only good thing about this place is that it sits over the Matanzas Bay. It's a beautiful scenic place but the food is terrible and the service is below average. Save your money and go to the other restaurants around town that are actually decent and the food is much better! But if you want to feed fish from your table, eat here.

GREAT PLACE TO TAKE THE KIDS
This reastaurant sits out over the water. The kids had a blast feeding the huge catfish below. The food and service was great. The blackened salmon was delicious.

Locals do NOT eat here!
Wow, what a great location - that's all you can say that's positive about Santa Maria. That, plus the food is cheap enough that when you have to feed it to the fish, you won't feel too bad about throwing away your money! Don't believe anything else about this restaurant - locals know it's been a joke for many, many years!

Wow..what a great restaurant
Feeding the fish is amazing. We even saw a huge Tarpon and some Dolphin. Our food was really tasty and the service was friendly. Fun place to eat and I would definatley recommend going if you are in Saint Augustine, Florida.

More atmosphere and fun than anything else
Sanat Maria offers decent food at high prices, but you pay for the incredible view and all the fun you'll have taking it in. If you just accept that you're paying for the experience and don't compare the food as if you could order from any menu and still be in that incredible location you'll enjoy the experience much more.Worldwide > United States > St. Augustine, FL > Restaurants
