My all time favorute Thai restaurant. Try somrthing with peanut sauce!Sai Jai Thai Restaurant
Sai Jai Thai is great- in my opinion, one of the only more authentic Thai restaurants in the city. Definitely worth the trek to a somewhat sketchy neighborhood (centrally located in the Tenderloin)....User review from Citysearch
Best thai aroundgood
this is a very nice place to eat at. the prices are fair and the food is good. my favorite is the phad thai its so yummy. i would recommend this place to anyone in the neighborhood.tantalizing tenderloin thai
if demands for a thai restaurant in the area extend beyond a place to see and be seen (and it's not 2 am), consider one of the many, if not dozens of options south of geary street, offering fare at a more relaxed (but not slow) pace and even cheaper prices. having eaten here many times i have never been disappointed. the thai pork salad with mint is the type of creative dish you might find at the slanted door in a smaller portion for 4 times the price. you will certainly be able to afford a generous tip or a fried banana with coconut ice cream.a stand-out
i work in the tenderloin, and i've eaten at at least 20 different thai places in the area. i keep going back to sai jai thai. the portions are enormous, the food tastes the best, and the price is great. the place is a lot cozier since renovations. the staff is always very friendly.Real Authentic Thai Food
I have been dining at Sai Jai Thai for as long as I can remember. The food is amazing. The head chef is also the owner. She aims to please everyone, her cooking is to die for and she is so sweet. I myself am Thai and it is honestly very difficult to find "real" Thai food nowadays since there's so many to choose from. Rest assured the food here is truly Thai and this is as close as it gets. Dining at Sai Jai Thai is like tasting Thailand without actually having to go!Best Thai Food I've Ever Had
I am white but I love spicy food. Thai is one of my favorites. I've met a lot of Thai people and they have told me this is the most authentic restaurant in San Francisco. The waiters/waitress and owner are some of the nicest people I have ever met. The food is delicious and the service is great.Strip clubs and Thai...
... I've never quite figured out the correlation between the two, but there is a plethora of tasty Thai food to be had in this neighborhood. Sai Jai is VERY unpretentious, the food is simple, but TASTY, and the servers are friendly - the other clientele are pretty colorful as well, so don't discount the amusement factor!Recommended by Thai.
I remember my Thai friends use to tell me that many Thai restaurants here in the city are not that good. I was scratching my head not knowing what they were talking about since I like most dishs from any Thai restaurants. Well that was back then before I traveled to Thailand few times. Now I know what they were talking about. Many of the Thai restaurants here tone down their spiciness for the non-Thai customers. For me, I like my food cooked the way it was meant to be, "SPICY HOT". Their menu do advice you to let them know how spicy you want your food prepared, for your own good. I think that's why so many of my Thai friends agree on Sai Jai Thai Restaurant as being like home cooking. For anybody planning to go there, I recommend trying their specialty "pork shoulder".Best Thai Food I've Ever Had!
I love Thai food. Sai Jai Thai is one of the few places that I can say serve real authentic Thai food. I feel that it's very difficult to find the exact ingredients used in food that's half way across the globe but the food here is amazing. This is as close as it gets! When you're in the need for spicy food be aware because when you say "spicy" they do SPICY. But Thai food wouldn't be what it is without the spice. The service is wonderful and the owner is the sweetest woman ever. The atmosphere is comfortable and the prices are unbeatable. I would recommend Sai Jai Thai anyday and everyday!Big Mistake
After a long morning of sightseeing we tried this Thai restaurant that was not too far from our hotel. What a mistake! The restaurant was dumpy and the pad Thai was a gooey tasteless mess.Very good and inexpenisve thai food in the tenderloin
I have been here several times. It is great and my friend visiting loved it too. In fact, we went back another time while he was visiting. Be sure and try their thai cakes for desert. Keanu Reeves ate here, his picture is on the window. Yummy food!Great authentic thai food
This is best thai food in the city.... If you like real authentic thai food, go here. If you like americanized thai food, go else where. I learned about this when a waitress at competing thai restaurant suggested that this is where the local thai people goes for thai food.Nice down to earth employees; foood so tasty
