The Raleigh Rum Runners is Certainly not the best of this chain
this place is pretty entertaining but it can get way too crowded at times. the prices are certainly fair for the drinks (unless you're taking shots) the employees are a HUGE downfall to this particular rum runners. i have witnessed several unprofessional interactions with the employees and their customers. the bartenders seem to be more worried about their tips than anything else. on one particular instance, i was ordering several drinks and apparently their bartenders have a 4 second attention span because he simply stopped listening to my order and served someone else AS I WAS ORDERING. thus, i usually avoid this place unless i feel obligated. the rum runners in wilmington is 1000x better, its almost worth the drive!Horrible experience
i went to rum runners for my 21st birthday and I definitely regret that decision! The male piano player was an absolutely the rudest person i have ever encountered and he made my experience there terrible. I will admit that I was a little tipsy but I have never felt so insulted by anyone! My 12 friends and I were basically the only people there on a Sunday night and I would assume that our business would be greatly valued, but I guess I was wrong. His rude and sexiest (not in a joking manner) comments were not appreciated!Awesome pianos!
This is one of the coolest piano bars I've been to. It's dueling pianos, they take requests (and play all of them). They'll get the audience singing and clapping, and they play everything from rap to country. My group and I had a blast! Drinks are good, the waitstaff is hot....but the pianos players are awesome. Especially the blonde chick and the guy who had on the Red Sox cap (go Sox!)Catch the Friday Night Luau
My friends and I usually go out for dinner and drinks to celebrate each other's birthdays. We were in the mood to do something a little different, so we decided to check out Rum Runners. It was a GREAT choice! It was definitely not the 'norm' for us by any means, but we kept an open mind and really did enjoy ourselves! The music was fun. Even though it wasn't really the type of music that we would normally listen to, they played a lot of popular music that got everybody singing along. The drinks were also great. I'm often leery of ordering drinks in bars because you often get a cup full of ice, drink mixer, and a tablespoon of alcohol, but the driks were cheap and strong. That may have been part of the entertainment, because after some folks in the crowd had a few, they became quite boisterous...and entertaining.Horrible Piano show
I have never seen a more horrible show in my life. Having frequented several dueling pianos bars, I was in town visiting some friends who brought me to Rum Runners. We left within 30 minutes. The show was horrible, the waitstaff was unfriendly and I encountered one of the worst and rudest bartenders ever. Will never be back
Rude service, bad drinks, some of the worst singers I ever heard. Bartenders seemed like they wanted to talk to themselves more than wait on customers. Piano players ignored the requests and used profanity in every song.Awesome Show, Great Service
I went to Rum Runners with some friends for a Birthday party and we had a blast. We got my friend on stage for her birthday and they sang a hilarious song to her... it was pretty naughty, but verrrry funny. Their drink specials are awesome, and they even have a dance club in the back now if you get tired of singing along to the piano show you can go dance. I'll definatly be back!Tons of Fun
I have been to Rum Runners a few times, but I had such a great time the last time I was there I decided I would write a review. I tried to make reservations but the room was booked so I couldn't. When I got there a waitress saw me and told me a table was signing there checks and would be up in a minute if I wanted the seat. They had an amazing special that night and it was a Friday...a good special on a Friday. The piano players were fun, but I found out there was a dance club attached to the bar, how did I never know about this! All and all I had a great time, I received amazing service- at both bars, and I will be back soon. I don't like that they don't have food, but I found out they let you order pizza that will deliver right to the bar.Fun times
Lots of laughs and great times. Go with a friend and participate. One of my favorite places.Superb entertainment and a really great time!
I am new to Raleigh and moved here from Northern California and did not think I would find the kind of entertainment I was used to...needless to say, I had a blast! The dueling piano show is not only musical entertainment but comedic! They also have another little club inside, that plays some great dance music. Therefore, you have the option to sit and laugh histerically or you can go into their little club and dance the night away!Worldwide > United States > Raleigh, NC > Night Clubs
