Blind leading the blind......very poor hospital!!!!!!!
I was referred to Loyola by Mercy Hospital in Woodstock, IL. Mercy, Mercy Harvard Hospital and Memorial Medical Center sucks too. I have been suffering from digestive issues for about four years now with no relief in sight, so far. ...pediatric oncology...horrible experience
My child was treated here several years ago, and I still have horrible thoughts about how she was treated. Gail, the oncologists NP was one of the coldest, meanest people who has NO business working with children at all. If you are being teated there, seek other care.I am very grateful for their services!
Thanks to their Doctors, I am a mother of three wonderful children. With my first daughter, I was hospitalized a full month and my experience was the best. The bed linens were changed every day, staff was always kind and even the food was delicious. For my other two kids my stay was not as long, but did end up in labor and delivery a total of four times for procedures with not one complaint. I really feel I owe them a big part of my happiness and that will always stay with me.Bad experience!!
My dad passed away on Jan. 3 2011. He had been hospitalized at Loyola medical center in maywood from dec16-jan3. The nurses there are not helpul at all, the staff (i.e. front desk, cafeteria, pct's) are very unfriendly. As nurses they should be the patient advocates but these nurses just acted like they didnt care about my dad. He got really sick on sunday jan 2 and his nurse, isabel from the 6th floor, didnt come in to check on him until about 9:15 am(her shift started at 7am).my dad was complaining about chest pain and shortness of breath and a really nice night shift nurse helped us by increasing his oxygen. But he was really sick....we were told that he was going to be transferred to the MICU at about 10 am. and he was transferred until about 7:30 pm when he had a cardiac arrest and resucitated..and then he was rushed to the MICU....a bit too late. My father passed away on Monday morning, Jan.3rd 2011. I cant help but think that had Isabel pressured the MICU, because my father was really sick, maybe he would have made it. He went more than 6 hrs. in pain and with chest pain, and shortness of breath.....horrible experience.Bad experience that never goes away...
I was there in 2/2/2002 (easy to remember) and had cervical surgery (my 3rd. one) to be done by one of their best doctor in "neck-fusion" surgeries...what a nightmare...among all the horror that happened to me, one of them was being left on the hallway (in a gurnee) for hours after a "spinal tap", I was there crying, suffering in severe pain and along came nurses, doctos, hospital staff and NO ONE not even a single one stopped and asked me what was happening or what was wrong w/me...SHAME on them...wish with all my hear that I will never, NEVER have to face that place again..hope someday their doors will close forever!!Not The Best....not even good
I was referred to a "specialist' (at least I thought) in the cardio unit. after seeing him I was told to just wait and that my case would be reviewed by some of Loyola Top Cardio Doctors, instead I was told by the "specialist" (he had no idea what to do).....(and my case was never reviewed by anyone) to go to ANOTHER "specialist" (so I thought again). Went and saw him, he ordered 2 test, had a TEE and a Heart Catherzation (which I was promised to be "twilight asleep" for BUT I FELT EVERTHING THAT WAS BEING DONE TO ME....I cried and told them it was hurting and I was told "I was fine"). After the test he went to talk to my family and told them he would not do any more test on me or do ANY surgery until I lost some weight.....my husband told him I barely eat now and he told my husband his solution "take away ALL food and just give her water that will make her lose weight". I still have not heard from either Dr. nor do I want to. What i do hope is that if either one of these Dr's do get sick they have a better Dr. helping them than they were to meDoctor Care Inpatient
ER was fabulous!! Professional, very nice and totally AWESOME AAA++++! The only thing I was unhappy with- was that it was charted that I had REFUSED a medication. And later someone reading my chart told my family I "refused". The truth being and by mutual agreement between me and my ER nurse (who was awesome) = it was not given due to my vital signs not being stable enough to receive the it.Worldwide > United States > Maywood, IL > Doctors
