I have to agree!
My kids just started attending Robindell only because their previous daycare which was Shining Star stopped opening 24/7 And alot pf people recommended that robindell was a good 24 hour daycare. Now dont get me wrong it is a nice place and the staff is very friendly and helpful, but they just have too many kids to focus on all of them and sometimes they cant even remember where my kids are half the time meaning anybody could snatch my child and they not notice! I remember quite a few times i walked in got my child and left and no one even noticed me leaving with my child,They do have a security guard at night but still anyone can just walk in and out of the daycare anytime they want and thats just not scure at all to me.

Uncooperative
I?m a college student who needed to complete an assignment observing a day care. I contacted Robindell Private School as suggested by one of my friends. When I called the place I was told to stop by the facility and talk to the person in charge of internships. To my surprise when I was there they told me I could not observe the facility. I wonder why they wouldn?t let me look at it! This is strange, because the other child care centers I contacted were very polite and more than willing to help out with my assignment. If I were a mother, certainly, this wouldn?t be a place I would consider safe for my child. Do they have something to hide? Who knows

Not Very Safe
I enrolled my two sons (ages 2 & 4) in Robindell since they were a 24 daycare, and my husband works 2nd shift and I on weekends. The staff was always very nice and helpful, but there are just too many kids for the teachers. Frequently I would go in to pick up my kids, and they would run off the playground and out to my car, without a teacher or staff noticing. The final straw was when I went to pick them up, and my 4 year old turned up missing. No teacher knew were he was. After 1/2 hour, they found him in another building across the street. It just is not a safe environment.

great experience, good value
The center is huge which was a concern for me at first, but each building has it's own office area and is run almost like a seperate school for each age group. I have a 12 mo old and 3 year old and both of my sons teachers are out very sweet. My baby is always happy when I come to pick him up, and my 3 year old always seems entertained. They gave me a curiculum guideline for the 3 year old and from what I can see the teachers do a good job teaching not just playing which was important to me. The summer's were also great because they have thier own splash pad and inflatable waterslides for the children. My older son could not wait for splash day each week. I also found the facility to be very secure. They have security gaurds on site every day when I pick up at around 7pm, I'm told he stays there all night long. Overall I have had nothing but positive vibes from the school. I would highly recommend it which I have to several of my friends. I think they have a wait right now for infants under 12 months which means they must be doing something right. My youngers son's teacher has been there for 23 years. Wow!

Getting a good teacher is 50/50.
Both of my kids attend school here and have been going here for about 3 years. The only problems that I have is the 1 - 2 year old age group. When my son was in that group there was not enough educational or stimulating activies to keep the kids from just getting bored and fighting all day. They fought over toys a lot in his class rooms. I was told that they don't do instructional learning at that age because the kids won't sit still. His previous daycare Kindercare had 18 mth old kids doing daily crafts, coloring, and learning colors and shape. Of course they were way more expensive so you get what you pay for. Once he graduated into the 3 year old age group they have instructional learning and my son is adding subtracting reading simple words writing daily and his class is learning phonics in english and spanish. This is a good option for kids older than 3 and younger than 15mths. But parents remember that you have to stay on top of teachers if they are not treating your kids right. If you kid is coming home with diaper rashes, scratches etc. you need to contact the director. I have had these issues and they were resolved immediately. Management staff is very responsive to parent complaints and they are quick to fire a teacher for mistreating kids. over the years we have had really good teachers and really crappy teachers but the teachers they have now are way better than the ones they had when we first started.Worldwide > United States > Houston, TX > Schools
