Richard Santillo put an extension ( walkway) on my existing deck. Within 1 week of him finishing it, it was condemned with no trust passing signs! I called him and explained to him that the deck was falling away from the siding and dangerous, among other things, ( it was extended above and over the garage for a walkway to go to the backyard for my kids to play on their play yard) and I told him it needed to be fixed. He said several unkind words and needless to say, we ended up in court. I only wanted my walkway, which I saved several months for. So when we were in court, he called me a liar and said that I did it. I have pictures to prove it. 50 page book that I took to court that was made from the ordinance and building inspectors that condemned my deck. I won and was awarded the money owed! Well, I still have not seen that money. I had to pay a constable to go and have some of things levyed. Well after I did that, he filed bankrupy. If you have a different experience with this man, than that is good for you but if you are contemplating on who to hire. DO NOT HIRE HIM!!!! My apologies for those that had good luck with him however, I would not want a dangerous deck to be built for your kids to fall off of. I GIVE HIM ZERO STARS!!!!!
