The company was founded by a group of physicians, engineers, and scientists in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1991 who were dissatisfied with the current state of technical translation in their professional fields. Having suffered through countless pages of inaccurate, unclear, and sometimes outright dangerous translations, they formed Language Scientific with a mission of setting new quality control standards in technical translation.

Assuring quality of technical translation requires employing specially qualified translators. At Language Scientific, translations are performed by linguists who not only know the languages but actually understand on a technical level the subject matter they are translating. Therefore, all of our translators hold professional degrees, such as M.D., M.S.E.E., and PhD. in medicine, engineering, and science.
