What a Find !!
Found this place after walking around one night. I walked in and the instructor gave me a free class, it was great!!! What a work out, and the self defense was fun and effective. I've tried other places, but none compare to this place. Not what it used to be
This 86th street taekwondo school is not what it used to be. The instructors may wear black belts, but in my opinion, actual knowledge is lacking.Rockin Great Time!
This school has changed the way I think about fitness and fun when working out. The head instructor is a great balance of tough and encouraging. I'm telling the world! The Place to Train
I have been a student of the upper east side school for 1 year, I was fortunate enough to have found Mr. Luis Sevilla , which in my opinion is one of the best instructors i've had the fortune to work with. His dynamic approach and non traditional style was exactly what I needed to really bring the best out of me.I enjoyed training so much that I signed up my younger son trevor and he is currently an orange belt.My favorite thing about the school is that the Instructors do not assume the "holier than thou" instructor approach"which is so common in the martial arts". There humble demanor keeps my family intrested and coming back , Being a StockBroker I only have a few key hours in where I can work out , I give them to Manattan TKD. try it youll be satisfied.Mr Sevilla's Lunch Class is the greatest!
I recently joined Manhattan Tae Kwon Do on East 86th street. I go to the 12:15 lunch class taught by Mr Sevilla. He is the best martial arts teacher I have ever had. He knows how to push people to be their best. He works with each of us to make sure we are moving ahead and challenged. (He even calls when we miss class, like bootcamp)All about the money
After training here for some time I ended up leaving as the classes progressively got worse and worse. They're happy to keep taking your money but put no effort in to making the training sessions novel or educational. It got to a point that there really was no reason to keep turning up as it felt like you were just putting the instructors out by attending. Please Try the FREE Class then decide........
I just noticed the review below, and was dumbfounded. I have had the complete opposite expierence at Premier Martial Arts. The teachers are GREAT, eveyone is awsome to work with, and the school is very inviting. All I can say is, go there and take the FREE class they offer, then decide for yourself.over all a good spot
This place is great for people that love to move. Their self defense program just makes scene to me. They get you fit teach you how to escape from every grab and have a great kick boxing class happing all at once. The other great thing about them is that they have a BJJ class which moves is at the right speed for me. Guys try them out and feel the vibe.Well-rounded school
When looking for a martial arts school, you want to look for the teaching ability of the instructors, diversity of the classes, the space in the school and most importantly the practicality of the techniques. In my opinion, this school is a perfect example of a city school that displays all 4 qualities. The classes are well organized, class sizes are perfect and they even offer classes for young children 3-4 year olds & 5-7 year olds, which I think is great , because while the older students are learning the basic fundamental skills of defending themselves, the littler children are learning focus and self control. After taking the adult class, I can say it's a well-paced, muscle and cardio workout with very motivating instructors. With that all said, anyone looking for martial arts classes or just a good workout, this is the place to be.Worldwide > United States > New York, NY > Active Life
