Chowder!
Right on the harbor at Bearskin Neck. They get extremely crowded but once you try one of their chowders you will know why. They also have your traditional lobster rolls, burgers etc but you have to go for the chowder. Not worth the stop
We were visiting the area with friends from Florida and thought we would enjoy a meal in a charming little town. We had dined here 3 years ago and sat upstairs where not only did we enjoy the food but the view was great. This time the upstairs was close, the food was average (Seafood over priced) and the service was less then desirable. Will never go there again.THE WORST PLACE TO EAT IN ROCKPORT
I HAVE BEEN GOING TO ROCKPORT FOR OVER 20 YEARS THIS WAS THE THE WORST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER ATE AT THE ENTREE'S ARE SO SMALL I WALKED OUT HUNGRY THE PRICES ARE HIGHEST IN ROCKPORT A LOBSTER ROLL WAS $ 20.00 THAT WAS JUST PLAIN GREEDY AND THE THE PORTIONS WAS VERY SMALL.YOU LEAVE THERE FEELING YOU HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF.I REALLY HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY EXCEPT THE $ 4.00 CUP OF CLAM CHOWER TASTED GOOD 5 SPOON FULLS VERY SMALL PORTION THE SERVICE WAS O.K. SO IF YOU WANT THE MOST FOR YOUR MONEY DON'T GO THERE TO EAT THERE ARE MANY OTHER GOOD RESTAURANANTS IN ROCKPORT BUT STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFFNot for kids, lovely atmosphere
Boy,this place has changed! This resteraunt used to be a charming 30 seat landmark on Bearskin Neck--now it is a much larger 2 floor place with a GORGEOUS dining room and a deck on the second level that is run separately w/ a clambake-type menu. The decor is warm, the owner has a great eye for detail. The food is good, and thankfully the owner kept some old faves from the old menu. The clam chowder is some of the best you'll eat anywhere and the burgers are outstanding. the only complaint about this old Rockport landmark is the service.Worldwide > United States > Rockport, MA > Seafood Restaurants
