Pho Thai Son is good.

This is a wonderful place to eat! It is a little old, but still amazing food! Family owned and run. Yum!

good food, but scary place

The food is really good here, but I always feel like I'm taking a risk by eating it. The restaurant seems dirty,though maybe it's just old. I definitely prefer to get my food to go!

Pretty good Pho

I ordered the steak pho last night. It was really well flavored, lots of cilantro, basil and sprouts. I think the only thing missing were a few more types of vegetables...at least in my limited, but tasty, experience with pho, there's always been a good amount of vegetables.

But like I said, it was good.

Terrible

My boyfriend and I went yesterday when we were really hungry.
We went in and ordered the v3, which is "crisyp tofu, bamboo shoots, broccoli and mushrooms in buddha delight sauce". It came with the side of rice. We also ordered veggie sushi.

We got the food.
The rice was -without a doubt- OLD! Like it was old, cold and microwaved.
We know it wasn't fresh because we also got sushi and the sushi rice was just made, and it was fresh. There was a huge difference.
We tried to explain this to the owner (?). He didn't speak English and he brought us each a side of SUSHI RICE.. wth?
So yeah..
We also noticed there weren't ANY (at all) bamboo shoots in either of our dishes. Just lots of ...onion.. ??
Also, the tofu was very soft.
If you eat tofu, then you know there's a huge difference when you want one type of tofu and you get another (soft vs. crispy)

We told the same guy about all of this and he didn't even apologize or acknowledge the situation.
But I think he couldn't understand what we were saying.
If you care about being able to ask about your food, or get any type of feedback from the service if you ask questions, etc-- then do not go here.
All I know is:
if a restaurant is willing to reheat their very old and cold rice then... well, that's a bad sign.

No way we'd ever go back again.

Service is great but the food is not

Waited 15 minutes to at least be looked at we were the only ones in the restaurant. Paid for my sprite and went to Austin Pizza. Best choice!
