To Ken!
Boy! You really showed your anger and it was scary. Actually, it was downright hateful with all the finger pointing. To think that you are a representative of the store makes me raise my eyebrows! I hope the owners of Pet-o-Rama have a talk with you because you just made the store look bad. You could have addressed Kat's letter in a dignified, respectful way and still got your point across. You were hoping to disclaim her but instead everyone who reads this will be focused on your letter and not hers. Think before you speak next time.Great store helpful workers!
every time I come in the workers are more than willing to help me with any issue. If they do not have a direct answer they always find someone who does. All animals are well treated and seem to be great quality. I absolutely love Pet-O-Rama and will continue shopping with them. though some prices are a little high the helpful workers make it worth it.G
I don't think Ken's response is out of line. He obviously believes they are right and cares about what he is doing. My daughter adopted two adorable kittens there who were brother and sister. They were rescued and had just come in that day. We had to wait till the next day to adopt them because they were still in quarantine. They were definitely old enough to be adopted and they are the absolute best natured wonderful cats you could ever hope for. They were treated for fleas, which they did have when they were rescued, but the point is Petorama treated them and gave them their first shots and we were very happy. I have been in there when animals were out of water, but overall I think they are pretty conscientious.GREAT STORE...GREAT HELP.....GREAT ANIMALS
It is obvious that all the employees there care for their animals, and also care for the people who purchase the animals. I went to Pet O Rama in Waxahachie to purchase some little fish for my mother. The girl recommended that rather than buy a bunch of fish now, it would be better for me to wait until I knew that the aquarium was save for the fish. She tested the water for me and made great suggestions as to which fish would work for my mother who is a senior. Thanks Katie for all your help.Is it all about the money???
I frequent your store on a regular basis, mainly for the convenience factor. True to what others have stated, all the crew there do seem to love the animals, however, some of the animals (mostly the dogs) seem to be staying there far too long. Most people it seems are wanting to buy a puppy so that they can bond with the animal from a young age. I've noticed some of the dogs seem to growing up in your little cages which often seem too crowded. When your crew starts naming the pets, it tells me that perhaps the dogs have been there awhile! Your prices seem to be extremely high for the area. Consider your customer and the community in which you are serving. After seeing many of the dogs there for 2-3 plus months, it seems that you might want to reconsider your pricing. Perhaps more of these dogs could find loving homes if they were more affordable. I was in your store the other night when a man brought in 6 puppies to be checked out so he could sell them to you. He stated indissapointed
I have been a loyal shopper of the Pet-o-Rama in Waxahachie since it opened. The first couple of years the store was always clean, the employees were always polite, friendly and helpful. The animals seemed happy and well taken care of, however, the past year I have noticed a big difference in the store as well as the employees. The store is no longer kept clean, in fact when I walk in the smell of the store hits me so strongly that it nauseates me. As a pet owner, I realize no pet store can smell like a fresh day in spring but when I look in the cages of the dogs, rabbits and other small animals, it explains the reason for the bad smell. The animals often don't have fresh food and/or no water. The puppies are often overcrowded in their kennels and several of them seem to be growing up there. That brings me to your prices of the puppies. If you truly cared about finding those dogs a loving home, you should consider dropping the prices on those dogs which have been there for months. I came in on March 2, 2009 at 4:00 to buy Dog food, they were out of everything. I had to buy a small bag, until the big bags came in which the gentleman did not know if they had any in the back and he did not know when more would be in. Could care less, had to wait in line for 5 minutes before he even came to the counter. It smelled and the dogs looked gross, like have not had a bath ever. Stuff in there hair. I liked shopping because of the card and a free bag of the dog food after a certain amount of buys. But is is does not get better I will be spending more to go to Tractor supply.Discusting and overpriced
1. The odor when you walk in this place is repulsive. I left because I did not want my children inside the store. There were small dogs running freely and using the restroom all over the floors.Smells???
In the past few years, I have noticed that Pet O Rama has really gone downhill. I can't even walk into that store anymore without getting sick. The smell will knock you over like a 4x4 It is the first thing that hits you really before you walk in. The dogs and cats are in such small cages, they can't really move around. No wonder they look so depressed. Not to mention, way overpriced. I am taking my business to duncanville or Cedar Hill at least I know their stores wont make me sick.Being a customer AGAIN!!
i have recently started shopping at Pet-O-Rama again! I was very turned off by the store for a while! But i went to make a quick stop and I was amazed! No smell! All the animals were taken care of. The fish tanks didnt have dead fish them! And everyone seemed happy working! I asked a young lady who was working there if they were under new owners! She said no! just new management! To my surprise it was her as the new manager! She said that she wasnt even a portion of the way done with her plans! She even told me that she would have never bought an animal in the condition it was in! That girl seems to be doin something right! The store looks so much better! And the smell of death is gone! I will be shopping there again to see the rest of the changes.Pet O Rama was great
I have only had one experience with petorama(waxahachie) when i first got there it was a little hectic alot of people there but never could not find an employee and the store was very clean...by the way they bought pups from me and i am far from being a puppy mill, they had a vet on sight did a very good check up and made everything right. And as far as why did i sell to a pet store like said before most of us live so far out in farm country.....but mainly because they were very clean polite and loving towards my puppies....and i would do it again.Pet O Rama is Awful
I have been trying, unsuccessfully, for the past several months to purchase food for my parrot and reptiles at Pet O Rama. They are always out of everything. I thought they were going out of business the last time I went in because they had so few items on the shelves.Pet O Rama is...
a great place to shop for any animal you have. Their selection of selection of dog food is excellent! Much better than the typical food you can find at Walmart. The pets that they have on hand is a huge choice! They always seem to be out of something, and when I asked why they told me their budget doesn't allow them to always have everything in stock, but that they would try to get whatever I needed as soon as possible. I understand that they need to make money too, but I think their prices are a little steep. I love everyone that works there, they are always helpful, even if you have to wait 5 minutes to talk to someone. I have been a customer for years, and will continue to take my business thereGreat to do business with...
(in regards to the Waxahachie store)Frusterated Mom!!
I took my kids here to get them a Bearded Dragon. We had a great time buying our new pet. However, since then it has NOT been so great. I want to like this place and have a good opinon of them, but it is getting very hard. I have called everyday for a week about food. They do not have food for the animal they sold us. I have been driving to another town 45 miles away. I have no idea how they are even feeding the animals that they have if they don't have food for the ones they sell!!! (Waxahachie Store)A BAD HABITAT FOR A FROG
I feel sad for the pet I wanted. It's this big female dumpy white's tree frog at petorama. the cage has like a gallon of water in it and one tall rock that the frog must stay on so she doesn't drown. I am a frog expert so I know frogs should not have THAT much water in there cage. Oh I also know that type of frog loves crickets (since I have a male one at home) and they can't really feed it anything or the bug would probally fall off and drown leaving the frog's stomach empty.Friendly
I have bought 2 kittens in the past from them and that was quite a few years ago and I didn't like the mgr they had at the time! I had went back just last weekend and noticed they had a full blood chihuaha there and it had been there for a long time and I know this because it looked big and my husband and his sister saw it there a month and half before. They have this puppy priced at over $400. I would have loved to buy this puppy for my kids but I cannot afford that kind of money! I however did purchase another kitten from them. The employees were very friendly in informing me that one of the kittens is not suitable around children since I do have 3 kids! She had told me it scratched a child, so thanks to them telling me that I did not buy that little orange kitty I instead bought the kitten who was 2 mths old. She is very sweet and my children love her!i kinda like it
i like pet o rama too i go there to get food for my animals but i dont like the way they raise the animals there one time we went there only to find two brown anoles dead. and i have 5 green anoles there easy to take care of you just need a mister bedding and a water dish some sticks and a fake plant.and everything there is expensiveGo to a shelter
After reading these reviews I have no desire to patronize Pet-O-Rama. From the sound of it they get their puppies from a Puppy Mill. People. If you want a dog or cat go to a shelter!!!No way, NOT for me!
How tragic for the pets in our community that there are still people in the pet 'business' that sell kittens/cats, puppies/dogs, rabbits & ferrets.Worldwide > United States > Waxahachie, TX > Pet Stores
