Staff reflects a where they are on the food chain look. Maybe a pay raise might bring some smiles to their faces.Service and prices are just fine. They are one of the best places to go
They are one of the best places to go because there store is clean. Someplaces i have been have had dirty tanks. There crew is willing to help people look of items. They are very friendly with there customers. Even when they are busy they still try to find time to help the customers. I hope you will like this store i do.For a huge chain, this is a good place to go.
I have to admit that this place is cool. There are so many things and supplies for many types of pets. That is something they have over smaller pet stores. Sorry.Big Business but also Good Business
I like the staff and the variety of products Petco provides for all types of pets. They are let your pets come in and assist one with their shopping. The fact that all locations are have huge space tells me that they almost have it all when it comes to pet related products.Disappointed
We expect to pay a dollar more for each bag of cat food here than at Petsmart, but this store is more convenient. However, the last time my spouse ran out to buy cat food, the bags actually had printed on them, $6.50 suggested retail. When he checked out, the cashier tried to charge $9.50. That is pretty obvious overpricing!Just so-so
This Petco is not as nice as other ones I've been to. Althought it is rather large and has a good selection, it seems kind of dirty and lower quality, especially for West Seattle. The staff wasn't very nice either, and their prices seemed somewhat high. It's in a good location, and they have a parking lot in the back, but it just seems like you'd be better off at another store.Fish and Bird Problems
I love the television ads for Petco but I have not been very lucky in getting pets there. I bought a Cockateil there once and it infected another 10 year bird I had and they both died. Unfortunately it happened after any kind of warranty. Every fish I have bought from their tanks has died or also icked other fish I had in my tank. Too bad more people don't come forward to say something about it.Its a chain
Its a chain. That's it. No more, no less. The checkers are rather troll like, competing for the bottom of the barrel in a sullen demeanor. Only Rite-Aid has more gruesome staffing.Helped with Koi - Suffers from bad Seattle parking
Ok, assuming you can find parking for this place, once in the staff is fairly helpful. Some are young and want to help but not quite sure how to. We inherited a koi pond when moving to West Seattle and since I didn't even know what Koi were (these guys assumed correctly that's what we had) I needed several visits. They tested out a vial of water I brought to verify the water was acceptable for the Koi - somewhat self-sustaining. I've bought a few supplies here. Generally helpful and trying to help. Last time, now that some massive structure is going on their old parking lot, my wife had to wait in the the car while it was illegally parked and I ran in for more Koi food. I think this location is more at risk from Seattle removing all parking that my Koi are at risk from the ignorance I've had about raising them. Hopefully for my Koi these guys will get me up to speed before their Petco location is extinct.just dropped by

I take my dog to the grooming dept. every few weeks or so and I love the service, and attention to detail. Ann is an awesome groomer and I highly reccommend her to every one I know. The retail area of the store is spacious and clean. The prices are a tad high for some products, but well worth it, in my opinion.Horrible Customer Service
On multiple visits to the West Seattle Petco, I have received the worst customer service ever. Most of the time coming from their register clerk, Lisa. A couple months ago I was looking for a good substrate for my snake and was mistaken on which kind to buy. I thought he needed humidity but was wrong and Lisa definitely made me aware of this. She proceeded to go into great detail about how wrong that was and asked rudely where I read such a thing. Honestly... She made me feel so stupid and embarrassed! And of course I am blessed to have blushing cheeks that cause me to wear my heart on my sleeve and this made me feel more stupid. She actually raised her voice to me. So every time I had to go in to get snake food after that incident, I desperately hoped she wouldn't be working. If she was, I would avoid her. Today I went in to exchange a dog crate that was too big for my new dog. I handed it to another clerk who instructed me to go pick out the one I wanted. When I came back, that woman wasn't there but my crate was sitting at register 1 with a register closed sign. Lisa was at register 2. I approached her and pointed to my crate, In the middle of saying that I was there to exchange that one she interrupted me and said "SO YOU NEED TO GO TO REGISTER OOOONEEEEE". Whoa! Ok.. Thanks for all your help. I will never go to the West Seattle Petco again. I will happily go to Mud Bay or any of the other nice smaller, friendly, pet stores. If for some reason I have to go to Petco, I'll go out of my way to go to the Tukwila one.Worldwide > United States > Seattle, WA > Pet Stores
