Too Crowded
The store is too crowded with items in all the aisles. It's very hard to walk much less grab something you might want to buy. The prices are high.

This Store supports the puppy mill problem
Pros: The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about high quality foods etc. Some stuff is a little on the expensive side.

A Pet World in Hollister
I have to agree with the two other reviews. A PET WORLD in HOLLISTER, CA is too crowded and they must support PUPPY MILLS. I have called twice to ask questions about where they get their puppies. Once I was hung up on, and the 2nd time they said It is best they not answer that question, They said I should talk to the owner. I have not been able to get a hold of the owner. Unfortunately, it is the only pet store in Hollister. My Suggestion: Go to Ranchers Feed in Hollister. They are friendly and can pretty much order anything for you.

A Pet World is a great place to get supplies and Care for your pets.
I disagree with all three of the reviews... FIRST of all we will answer any question about anything you ask about, we do not HANG up on people, you probably got scared and hung up on us.... Another thing we do not support Puppy mills, the puppies are NOT displayed in Circle PLASTIC bins, Clearly that person Has NEVER been in the store. Any person interested in a puppy we talk to them about it first, and Have denied people for purchases. Clearly the last person to Post works or are friends with Ranchers. Robert If you wish to have answers just come in and we can help you. Things might be more expensive but come on please this is HOLLISTER! Go to pet-co and stop complaining, go waist your gas and spend just as much there. They aren't much cheaper. Another thing the store does Not smell like a pet store we have air fresheners Placed all throughout the store and we keep our cages clean so it Doesn't Smell, if you want SMELL go to RAVENS. A Pet World is FANTASTIC!
I disagree with the other people who said that Pet World sells puppies from puppy mills. My husband and I have gotten puppies from Pet World and all have been wonderful, healthy, happy dogs with no problems whatsoever. Do not punish a puppy for something it did not do! All puppies deserve good homes, no matter their origin. Buying a puppy from a pet store does NOT automatically mean they are coming from puppy mills. That's simply a myth. Having said that, if you are the kind of person who supports adopting or rescuing pets, more power to you. That is a very wonderful thing to do. But do not bash Pet World for selling puppies because they are NOT from puppy mills. Everyone at Pet World have been wonderful, have answered all questions I've ever had, and are extremely concerned about all their puppies. I can't say enough about Becky who was been there to help me with my first baby (Barney, my pug). I asked a million questions and she answered them all patiently. Since then I have gottenWorldwide > United States > Hollister, CA > Pet Stores
