LOW Price and HARD-WORKING Guys! Highly Recommended!
I called Catfish because the moving help I had arranged backed out at the last minute. I needed to move across town the very NEXT day... And Catfish was able to fit me in!I was looking for a reasonably priced moving company, and I found them!
As I was getting estimates from mover's I was impressed with Catfish because they seemed to appreciate my business. Other companies I spoke to acted like I was inconveniencing them when I called. The estimate I received was reasonable and final price was what I expected. They did arrive about 45 minutes late due to truck problems and it plagued them the entire day. However, they made allowances for this and it didn't reflect on my final costs. I had a somewhat difficult move, with an attic apartment with narrow winding hallways and long set of outside stairs. My landlady was very concerned about her paneled hallways and hardwood floors getting scratched up. I expressed this concern to the movers and they were very careful and observant. The men were hardworking, considerate and friendly. I highly recommend Catfish!Reliable, friendly, careful & hardworking
I've never used a mover before, but I'd heard horror stories, which were put to rest after my experience with Catfish Moving. These are the hardest working (& pleasant & courteous & strong) men; the owner/manager/scheduler "Mr. Catfish" is a super friendly professional. The guys doing the move arrived promptly, looked over the job & got busy. It was a hard move, but they maintained their friendly professionalism to the end. Not one thing was broken or damaged, & they were helpful to the extreme -- even forgiving my utter spazz state. (I hate moving.) My move had to be done on a tight budget, so cost was a factor as I was getting estimates early. Even if you can afford a big-name moving company, you'd be better served by using Catfish. I wish I could've tipped the guys more. What I can do is HIGHLY RECOMMEND Catfish Moving to anyone & all!Catfish Moving - Excellent Service and Reliability
My daughter was essentially moving from a one bedroom apartment in a 3rd floor walk-up in Nashville to a 2nd floor apartment in Austin TX. Many larger movers would not consider such a small load unless it was "piggy-backed" with a larger load and could not guarantee to deliver on our schedule. Mr. Pender of Catfish Movers gave by far the best estimate for moving such a small load. He was very accommodating of our schedules and arrived promptly on the designated moving day with several strong helpers (with 6- 1/2 flights of stairs and several very heavy pieces to move) who worked hard in the muggy heat. They accomplished the task in just over 2 hours. On the other end, he arrived promptly in Austin with a local helper and quickly and efficiently got everything unloaded with no damage to any of our belongings. At the end he gave my daughter's apartment a blessing, which made us all feel good about the move. We appreciated his efficiency and commitment to prompt, careful moving service. We most certainly think he was reasonable, honest and reliable. We would definitely use him again and highly recommend Catfish Moving to others.EXCELLENT MOVING COMPANY!!!
These guys were great! Professional, polite and fast! We are definitely going to use them again for the next move!Reasonably priced
These guys did a great job and were the best price from all the ones I checked out. They stressed several times that cash is their preferred method of payment, but I paid with a check anyway. I would definitely use them again- I've already unpacked and not ONE thing is broken, scratched, or damaged in any way.Excellent service
I can't say enough about what an excellent company Catfish Moving is! They moved us from Nashville to Colorado last summer, and totally exceeded our expectations. Not only was their service 100% personalized, but they were so dependable that they actually beat us to the new house! None of our belongings were lost or damaged, and the crew stayed until we were completely satisfied with the placement of everything. In addition, the cost was very reasonable.Best Movers EVER!!!!
I found Catfish Movers by accident. I was looking up information on the net about a different moving company. I came across reviews of movers in the Nashville area. Catfish Movers had ONLY POSITIVE reviews. I'd never heard of them, but just had a feeling that if I called them it would be a good experience. From my first conversation with Catfish, himself, I knew I'd made the right decision. He was warm and friendly. He promised, his men would be at my house at 9:00, the morning of the move. Little did any of us know it would be snowing like crazy that day. Catfish called me early that morning just to let me know his men were still planning to be there. Doug, James and Michael showed up at 9 with smiles on their faces and immediately got to work. They worked non stop, in the cold and snow, with the exception of a very brief stop for lunch. The house they were packing up was all one floor. The house they were moving our things into was 2 stories. The entire day they were pleasant and polite. There was lots of laughter and smiles, and yes, I believe that's very important when someone is having to work so hard and take care of my things. They treated our things with the utmost care and were just super to work with. I really could just go on and on about this company and these guys. We also had 2 storage units full of stuff. My husband had planned to take some friends over to them and get them cleared out. But the day after the move, we realized that it was a pretty big job. I called Catfish again and asked if he could help me. That night at 6 p.m. Doug and Tyrone met my husband at the storage company and got the last of our things moved! I have dealt with numerous moving companies over the years. I have never been so pleased with a moving company as I was with Catfish Movers. IF YOU'VE GOT TO MOVE, CALL CATFISH MOVERS!!!!! It's the best move you can make.Fantastic Movers!
We were moving locally in Nashville and I called EVERY mover... Catfish was the only one to call me back to see if I needed anything. We booked him and we were thrilled with them. The service was great, the movers were friendly and the price was wonderful. We got 3 movers for 3 hours for under $300! PLUS, they helped us put the bed together when we got to the new place, helped my husband unload stuff from his car and even looked at a shed and tried to fix a busted door.Best movers around
I recently used Catfish Moving and cannot give this company enough compliments. Catfish himself was very pleasant and easy to work with during the scheduling process. On the morning of the move, the three movers were right on time. Throughout the day, they were pleasant, upbeat, and positive (which is sometimes difficult to do on moving day). Everything arrived in once piece. They were very efficient, and even went out of their way to fix an old table that had always been wobbly. Further, their prices can't be beat. I called about five moving companies in the Nashville area, and they all priced $10-$20/hour more than Catfish Moving, and their prices were based on only two movers. I was highly satisified with Catfish Moving, and will use them again every time I move.Exemplary!
What a wonderful moving company. We moved 4/26/2008 and found them to be warm and inviting. Although it rained a bit while they were working, it was as if it was not. They worked just as hard. Best price in town however there were a few add-on fees that I was not told so ask before you say ok. Oh, they do not charge extra for insurance of course, they don't have too because they are professionals. I would definitely use them again and strongly recommend that you give them a try.Did the job wonderfully!!
Windell and Doug were great!! The professionally came in and moved my stuff and got out of there. I would recommend them any day and definately use them again. However, they did have those hidden costs that I didn't know about so definately ask about additional costs. But with that said, they're still the best deal in town. I called everywhere and nobody could beat their price. Other than getting them from Kroger, Catfish even gave me heads-up on the best place in town where I could get boxes for cheap! He gave me a courtesy call after Doug and Windell arrived to make sure everything was good. And it was. I hate moving but these guys made it easier on me. The name may be unconventional, but you can't beat'em and the service was great!Wouldn't recommend for long moves
Moved in July 08 from Nashville, TN to WA state. First, you have to pay for the U-Haul (I was a little uncomfortable with my name on the truck) but was acceptable. Packing crew was very friendly and efficient. However, not everything fit on the truck, which I found out after fortuitously returning to the house to find all of it. When I asked Catfish about this, he asked if I had any suggestions?! He did eventually agree to come get it but with no clear idea as to how to get it to me. Then, a couple of days into the move, he called and asked me to wire him $2000 for "gas money" because his funds were "tied up." I refused and he somehow managed to get here anyway. Minimal damage to our stuff, but did not receive the left behind goods for 3 weeks (shipped via Greyhound to a town 15 miles away, and not all of it was present). In short, they have a good work ethic and probably heart in the right place, but thoroughly unprofessional.BEWARE
First of all I wanted my move to be scheduled for 8am and CATFISH was unable to do so, and scheduled me for 9am. A week prior to my move I called CATFISH to confirm. The day of my move I did not receive a confirmation phone call not at 8am or 8:15. I made a call to CATFISH at 815, 830 and 845 with no answer and left messages. My move time came at 9 and there were no movers and still no phone call. CATFISH finally called at at 930 to say one of the movers car broke down and was running late and he would be there within the hour. And they arrived 2 hours late at 11am with 2 men to move a 2 bedroom home, and took 6 hours to move me. BOO CATFISH, YOUR SERVICE STINKS AND SO DO YOU!!!!! YOU ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS. PLEASE ALL BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL BE SORRY.Great Company To Do Business With
Orlando and the crew were great to deal with! We had nothing broken during the move! They showed up on time (Day after Christmas)!Theives!
I used them several years ago. They took a 2 hour lunch and did not answer their phones while they were gone. Come to find out that their "long lunch" was most likely spent pilfering thtough our stuff. We didn't notice the missing items until the following week (After we unpacked). I'm not going to mention what they took, becaus ethey would know who we are due to the specific items. BEWARE!!!Absolutely the worst move I ever experienced
The Good: The owner himself came by to look at our home and give a quote. He was friendly and seemed to capture all of the details needed for a smooth packing and moving job. They agreed to pack and move us on a Sunday which a lot of other companies might not normally do. The cost seemed relatively good.Wonderful move! Great local yet very professional company
The move was fantastic. I recently moved between Nashville and Knoxville. I had to be at my new house really early, so Catfish offered to load up the day before, hold it, and move out first thing the next day for no extra charge.Worldwide > United States > Nashville, TN > Seafood Restaurants
