Catering with a smile and deliscious flavor!

Who ever gave Pat Smith a 7.1 is plum crazy! I had a last minute event that I needed to cater a complete dinner for 40 people. After calling around Pat was the most reasonably priced and she and her staff were very helpful with helping figure out what I needed and made great recommendations on the menu. In the end my guests were raving about the great flavor of the food and I cannot rave enough the friendly service. The short ribs are to die for!

Very image conscious

They reply quickly and work with you to a point, but they're image conscious to the extreme. If they don't like what you like, expect them to vanish.

The good:
My rep worked with me quite a bit on menu and pricing.
The owner wisely encouraged me to change my food choices.

The bad:
They pushed too much food for the number of people.
They changed the service prices with no explanation.
No communication for over two weeks a month before the event, then pulled out when we didn't agree that my wallet was more important to me than her reputation and on how much food was necessary.
No per-item pricing. It made it very hard to negotiate their pricing structure. Even their rep agreed that it was hard to work with and that this was the only place she'd ever seen like that. They prefer to simply charge for "food and service" with no details after you pick a menu.

Most delicious food, best presentation, amazingly generous

Extravaganza Catering is the best caterer I have ever worked with. I have used them for seven events at this point and can't imaging working with anyone else. They are perfectionists which I appreciate and everyone raves about the rood at every event. I have used Extravaganza Catering for parties of 16 and parties of 350 and the food is always consistent, beautifully displayed and plentiful. Pat Smith goes out of her way to be generous and to ensure that the job is done when promissed, as promissed - in fact she generally over delivers!

RUDE RUDE RUDE

This is the most unprofessional catering company I have ever dealt with. They may suit your needs, but they will manage to ruin your occasion and stab you in the back. Tried to take things from the wedding home with them.! I wouldn't wish their horrible service upon anyone. Pat Smith acted like a little Hitler to her staff, she berated them right in front of my guests. Several stations were unattended for long periods of time, and when guests attempted to serve themselves, they were snapped at. The food was adequate, but the service was horrible. Many of her guests were treated so rudely,

So I thought ..ok..let me inform everybody so that at least you wont be making the same mistake which we made. The worst part is the Owner of the company was the rudest one of the bunch

BEWARE OF PAT SMITH

We were working an event with extravaganza catering in Saratoga and the catering organizer for the event, Pat Smith, was the worst professional experience we have ever had with a catering company The lady in charge of catering was rude and unaccomodating. I highly recommend looking for other another caterer in town. The food was cheap.

Rude thieves

Her food was not exceptional as she claims, she buys her food from Costco and other warehouse stores. I feel the services provided were inappropriate and all performed unprofessionally. One of my guest saw one of the servers stilling bottles of alcohol I have provided. The owner Pat was rude to myself and my guests. I felt rushed and other guests were also aware of this.

Look at all the other reviews.
Bad food and rude owner equals no repeat business from me and my company.
Do not hire her to cater you wedding or any other event. Rude, unprofessional, money hungry, thieves are the only words to describe this company.

The absolute RUDEST person ever

I was at an event where Pat Smith was the caterer. She was extremely rude to everybody around her. She was rude to the guests, and the people who hire her.
She barked at people who would try to help themselves to food.
Also many guests witnessed her not only eating the food, but double-dipping as well.
The food has potential, but I could tell it was not all fresh. I saw some of it being wheeled to the the food area, and recognized many boxes from costco, etc.
I would NEVER hire her to do an event or wedding for me.
On a positive note, her staff are all very friendly, I don't know how they put up with Pat.
