Rude people answering phone, ruined party.
I attempted to book a birthday party there for a friend. We called ahead and asked for a reservation, a rude person who couldn't care less answered the phone and told us that they don't take reservations.Awesome food
We loved this place. Pastas and fish are sure pleasers!!!...They use the right amount of seasoning and spice in all of their dishes. the staff is always friendly and representative of the beautiful diversity of San Francisco.Painfully, a disappointment.
I was really excited about Park Chow. It would be my second visit and I remember the first time being just ok, so I wanted this time to be awesome. Especially since the reviews sounded so great. Not "kid friendly"
I went to Park Chow with my 3 year old son and 5 month old daughter. I was not offered a booster seat for my 3 year old son but was given a coloring sheet with crayons. He sat on his knees in the chair and began coloring. He then fell off the chair and bumped his head on the ground and began to scream and cry at the top of his lungs. I quickly picked him up and felt the huge goose egg on the back of his head. No one came over to see if he was okay, if he needed ice or if there was anything they could do. I started feeling desperate and really needing to get the ice and pressure on his head but still no one even looked my way. I called someone over and said my son fell and bumped his head, please bring me some ice. The waitress then brought a cup of ice (great). I said can you bring me a cloth to put it in and she gave me a look as though I was a demanding, and dramatic customer. Finally she brought a wet rag from the bar. I asked if it was dirty and again she gave me a mean look and said no. Finally smeone brought some ice in a plastic bag but then walked away. Feeling scared for my son and completely unsupported, I put my screaming son in the stroller at which point my 5 month old also began to cry. The food had just arrived. I walked out of the restaurant and sat on a step on 9th Avenue and held the ice pack on my son's head. A few minutes later a manager came out and apologized profusely. She said she had a child and knew how scary it was for me. I was very grateful for her support until my husband came to pick us up. I hope she can coach the waiters about how to handle that type of situation Unfortunately, I just don't have a good feeling about the restaurant anymore and won't be back.Best Lunch Place
Definitely, this will be my regular restaurant. Staffs are nice and menu are decent. My favorite was Grilled Chicken! Chicken was so juicy and tender. Price is OK. Very nice atomosphere. They have kids menu as well as smaller portion. So, parents can bring children while they have good wine! This is my favorite one!Great Food, Worst Service
a restaurant that has good food but the service is TERRIBLE! I have been coming to this place for years now, but not until just the last few times of coming when i noticed that the service are just going downhill. This place has a lot of memories but i am not quite sure if i can take the bad service that the waitresses give. When you come in and it has been more than 5 minutes before you get your first glass of water, just expect for the worse. I love the ginger cake dessert but hope that you don't get the one that has burned buttom.Great food with great service
we came here on a weekend night and were seated promptly. the restaurant has two floors, so there are many tables to choose from. The food was amazing and the prices were very reasonable. i would recommend taking advantage of their daily specials (especially the meatball sandwich.. YUMM!!). Our waitress was very attentive and helpful.... I've come to Park Chow many times and have always left happy.Just Like Home
I love this place. It has a wonderful homey atmosphere. Nothing beats the fireplaces and tarp ceiling on the second floor. You have to order the shorts ribs... the meat falls off the bone and melt in you mouth. Not only do they have great food, it's one of the few pet friendly restaurants. There is a semi outdoor seating area where you can dine with your furry friends. They even provide water bowls on the floor. How cute is that?make a run for it!!
Pretty place to hang out if you're hanging out in the Sunset. Â The prices are alright. Â The atmosphere is pretty and relaxing. Â It has a nice Sunday brunch/afternoon feel to it. Â Nice place ot hang out if you've just finished visiting the museums or Golden Gate park. Â They have nice heated lamps on their second floor. Â I like coming here if I want a quick dessert and drink with a friend. Â Good to go to if you have one of those weird afternoon dates. Â Park Chow is perfect for those because it's nice enough to hang out at if you like the person, fairly inexpensive in case you don't, mellow enough so that you can just grab a quick bite in case you want to make a run for it!!Good after a visit to GG Park!
Went to Park Chow after an adventure at the California Academy of Sciences. Great spot after a visit to Golden Gate Park!Worldwide > United States > San Francisco, CA > Seafood Restaurants
