PARALLAX ALMOST KILLED ME. INCOMPETENT DRs. DO NOT GO HERE. As an undergrad I went to control drinking habits, insomnia, and what I believed were urges of alcoholism. On entering Parallax I had not drank in 3 months BUT was IMMEDIATELY PUT ON MEDS: antabuse, narcon, & antidepressant. Parallax required I go 3x per week which I did. During 4 months of antidepressant intake I slowly became paranoid, frightened, manic then psychotic. The therapist, Armin, accused me of taking speed or LSD during the 4 months leading to the psychotic break. Parallax did not answer my desperate phone calls when psychosis began. During the psychotic break (I did not know my name at this point) a friend brought me to Parallax & they sent me to inpatient REHAB via PUBLIC BUS. Parallax denied prescribing antidepressants to the rehab (for their own legal protection) which delayed psych transfer, treatment & diagnosis: SEVERE PSYCHOSIS CAUSED BY ANTIDEPRESSANTS. I spent MONTHS in locked psych ward b/c of PARALLAX. It took more than a year for my brain to to recover. Now I have Master's Degree, have a good career, family, friends, no meds, etc. BUT PARALLAX ALMOST KILLED ME. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! The original Dr who prescribed antidepressant, & hid from legal repercussions, causing me delayed diagnosis and months in a psych unit RUNS Parallax now! I'm not an addict, just a depressed. Instead try Silver Hill Hospital in CT, or Payne Whitney in NYC.
