Nice small bookstore
Papyrus is a little bookstore on the corner on Broadway in the Morningside Heights Columbia University neighborhood. The store is nice and well lit, with plently of books, both contemporary and classic. They can order anything that you don't see on the shelves and they are very helpful with getting you the books you need. It's a pleasant place. I've never had a bad experience there.

decent college bookshop
This is a standard stop along the way for most columbia kids doing their schoolbook shopping, especially since many required materials are sometimes only available here. The prices are comparable to any other bookshop although probably more expensive than what you'd find alone. The store is small,and since it caters mainly to columbia students, teh selection for other books (fiction, leisure) is less than stellar.
