Page One Restaurant is a Must
Page One Restaurant located in Glen Cove is outstanding. Anyone who enjoys great cuisine must make their way to this fine eatery. Executive Chef DiMenna proves to be one of the most talented and creative chefs of our time. Her New Zealand Lamb was cooked to perfection. I savored every last mouthful.A great dining experience
I recently had dinner with a friend at Page One. We were greeted with a smile and seated at a nicely dressed table. I ordered the Nori Dusted Salmon and my friend had a Steak. Both dishes were prepared to perfection and we thoroughly enjoyed them. The drinks were served promptly, and were quite good.Great Food, Warm Hosts!
Jeaninie (chef and co-owner) and Peter (co-owner) are always gracious hosts! We have been eating at Page One for years and it is always consistantly good! We love the soft warm onion bread that is brought to the table. Last night my husband ordered his favorite dish: Onion Crusted Chicken and I had the Salmon Almond Horsradish. Both were perfectly cooked -- never dried out. My salmon was moist and delicious -- what a great flavor combination: sweet citrus glaze in contrast with the bite of the horseradish! Jeaninie always pairs the dishes with potatoes or rice and fresh vegetables. We shared a light tomato orzo soup which the kitchen offered to split into separate bowls for us - how accomodating. Page One always goes the extra mile, working very hard trying to please and to make your dining experience an enjoyable one. Peter even tried to help us out with regard to a draft, which he resourcefully stopped! Page One is located in downtown Glen Cove, conveniently near the movie theater.Best food eaten on the North Shore in a long time! Great Martini's and desserts.
Very charming atmophere. Cozy yet very chic. You can feel comfortable dressing casual or to "The Nines". Chef Jeanine and Peter make you feel like you are their only guests, although bustling with happy people enjoying a night out. The price fix for $23.95 is well worth the money. It is a bargain for top quality food, served fresh everyday,The bread was fresh and warm, like it should be. For dinner, the almond salmon with horseradish was a delightful change from the ordinary. Fresh and light with a little zing. Mashed potatos made from fresh, had a creamy homemade flavor like mom's. The coconot shrimp appetizer was more like a meal while the meal was so satisfying I had to bring home what I couldn't finish.(had to save rom for dessert) The field green salad was tender and fresh, while my chicken noodle soup was piping hot and chock full of hearty vegetables and chunks of all white meat chicken. The wine menu is fitting for the fine dishes prepared by Chef Jeanine. Jeanine did her homework with the wine choices. Also, the cappuccino was served frothy and piping hot, went well with the Crem'e Caramel. Like flan, sweet, fresh and moist, served with a dollop of fresh whipped cream. Go to Page One, you will be back! With so many great menu choices and daily specials, it would be hard not to.Worldwide > United States > Glen Cove, NY > Restaurants
