Good for pics
Westbury gardens is a great place to take engagement or wedding photos. While they make you pay a fee it is the best garden I've seen on Long Island. The fee used to be $100-$300 per session (this was 2003). It is an okay place for a trip out especially if you like flowers. While it is not as good as the brooklyn garden it is a good place for pics.

Immaculate
Old Westbury Gardens is a great place to go regardless of the season, as the place is immaculately maintained all year round. Spring and Fall are my favorities, with the wide array of lush flowers. The gardens are the perfect place for a big event, like a wedding. I especially like the peace and quiet you get from walking around, its a home away from home. The staff is very helpful if you have questions about the botanical aspects of the gardens, as they are well edcuated in the different times of flaura and fauna throughout.
