What a DELIGHT

On a side street between Broadway and Amsterdam, this cozy, small restaurant really does it right with its nice range of good quality sushi, noodle soup and tempura. The newer, much more expensive sushi places nearby on Amsterdam don't offer anything better.

Don't bother.

I've never took the time to review a place but this place made me so angry. I ordered the chicken curry and another dish. After a long wait, the delivery guy showed up and I gave him a 4 dollar tip on an 18 dollar bill.
After he left, I noticed that the bag was sopping wet from the inside and my curry had spilled all over the bag and the carton was empty! After I called and asked them to send me another oder, I got a call from the owner saying that the delivery guy insisted that he had delivered the food in good condition and that he didn't want to come back. I could not believe it! So, after 14 dollars of wasted money, the owner tells me he won't make the delivery guy go back.... I try to tip well and it just got me no where. I don't care so much about the food as I do about the customer service. Dont Bother!

Does Obento mean "bellyache" in Japanese?

Steer clear of this place at all costs. Last night my girlfriend and I got a carry out. First, they screwed up the order, gave us things we didn't want, and left out things that we did. Next, the food was somewhere between mediocre and lousy--bland soba noodle soup, cloying inuri, and sushi rolls that looked as though they had been stepped on. The crowning achievement came this morning when we awoke to be, shall we say, explosively sick. And best of all? When I stopped by today to ask that the restaurant reverse the charges on my credit card, they said, "We can't do that. You have to talk to the boss." I won't hold my breath on him getting back to me.
Do yourself a favor--if you're in the mood for sushi, take the initiative to leave the neighborhood. Obento Delight is worth the risk to your health.
