Very Good vet care
I was very happy with the entire staff, I came there because the Vet I was going to was getting so overbooked that the last time I brought my Dog there they gave him his shots in the waiting room. I really feel you do get what you pay...Not impressed
Went here b/c I'm pretty new to Austin and a coworker went a few times. It's close so I made an appt same day which was good. But once I was there it seemed that not everyone is on the same page. The girl up front seemed like she couldn't be bothered and it wasn't the most friendly place. My doc was good, she explained stuff but they forgot to put my meds in the bag and I made another trip back to get them (hours later I had to go to work). Not the worst but given the high prices I expect more efficiency for sure.a little sloppy
My pup got ticks the last several times she stayed there. They said she probably already had them but I know for certain she didn't (I get her groomed regularly, etc). They also forgot to give her a bath twice when I was there to pick up after boarding and charged me for it. To their credit they refunded the bath after I got home and noticed and called them. They seem to have room for boarding a lot but unless other places are booked I wouldn't really recommend. Some Concerns
It was fine and they got me in and the vets (saw 2 different ones, both professional) answered questions. I went home with the wrong medication more than once. First time I noticed and thought heck, I did leave right when they were closing and people were all checking out. But another time it happened and my cat got medication for a dog. My wife almost gave it to him too. It could have been a disaster and hurt our cat. Not the worst but def. need to tighten up the ship, so to speak.Changed a lot
It seems like whenever I call someone new answers the phone. Turnover is always a red flag to me but then I found my vet is no longer there. We saw her only a month ago.Great Visit!
I took my 17 year old cat there the other day and saw the new vet Dr. Mouser. From the minute I walked in the staff was extremely professional. They greeted me by name and called my cat by her name, and I was new there! Dr. Mouser was great and instead of throwing a bunch of medications at her, he discussed doing acupuncture and conservative treatment. Overall Great experience.Love them.
We have two cats that we routinely take to Dr. Mouser. Not only is he just the nicest man alive, he is a skilled and compassionate veterinarian as well. He is certified to administer holistic treatments as well as acupuncture and alternative medicines all along with the usual stuff. He is not pushy or rushed, and we always get exactly what we need. We love the vet techs (Nicole!!) and they seem to have been around for quite a while, so you know there is some stability around there...?
All was well and I was happy to see them a few times over the course of the year to take my old dog in for checkups. When we had to put him to sleep I felt it tacky and uncomfortable having to sign forms before we even put him down. Very emotional day for us and the timing was bad. Felt it could have been handled better.Good Right Now, But...
I took both our dogs in for vaccinations and found Dr. Mouser and the vet techs very personable and they handled the dogs very well.AWESOME!!!!
I've had pets my whole life, and have had veterinary experiences all over the map. Dr. Mouser is the best vet I've ever worked with! I would drive all over Austin to keep him as my vet if he ever moved to a new office. He is friendly and professional. His concern is keeping your pet healthy, not with charging you an arm and a leg. The support staff is top notch. My dog loves to go in there and is always treated better than I could ask for.To the Rescue!!
Dr. Mouser is amazing. Extremely concerned with getting my dog well, and not about the money. I just moved here and went to a different vet who treated me horribly. She was a very rude lady, and after this I began to worry I'd never find a vet like the one I had back home. Dr. Mouser to my rescue! He was very thorough and explained each and every thing he did to my dog and why he was doing it. I will definitely recommend him to to all my friends here. The other staff members were very friendly and didn't make me feel awkward or uneasy. Even the awesome orange cat was nice:) GO THERE! You won't be disappointed.Relax while on holiday, babies are in great hands!!
We have two dogs and a cat, the staff and Dr. Mouser at North Austin made us feel very safe leaving our pets there to board. The got all their shots and checkups while boarding. Not only was the price great, but our pets seemed really happy and well kept when we picked them up!! Having had some REALLY awful experiences (with a horrible female vet down town) we were thrilled to find this hidden jewel!!!Very Good vet care
I was very happy with the entire staff, I came there because the Vet I was going to was getting so overbooked that the last time I brought my Dog there they gave him his shots in the waiting room. I really feel you do get what you pay for.,Dr. Price was very nice and took her time with both of my Dogs and really seemed to care. My Dogs are my babys and I want the very best for them so if I have to pay more for better care I don't mind at all. I would very much tell people to bring thier pets here.Dr. Smith really cares
I found all the doctors at the North Austin Animal Hospital to be caring and helpful. I was especially impressed with Dr. Smith who went out of his way to help my cats through sickness.Best cat doctor in town
You are right. Dr. Smith is the best. But he is not at North Austin Animal Hospital. He has opened a feline only practice in Round Rock where he continues to give the best care around. Its the Central Texas Cat Hospital. Phone 388 1299. About a 20 minute drive from central austin- very easy to get to. Hospital is clean, quiet and geared totally to cats. Staff is great.Love Them
It is hard to find a veterinary clinic where love and compassion as well as my kitty's health are #1 priority!!! I love every one at North Austin. I had no wait time~ The receptionist had me in a room in less than an min. and the technician was instantly there making me feel like I was part of their little family.. Dr. Silvers was Awesome! I feel like she explained things to me in terms I understood and educated me on the dangers of my kitty's diabetes. We have been back several times and I am forever grateful to the staff at North Austin... 5 starsBest Vet Experience in Austin
I went to NAAH a couple of weeks ago when my dog came down with a very bad ear infection. I called all of the other vets I have seen since I've been in the Austin area and everyone was booked and wouldn't even recommend a vet for me to see. I found this vet on citysearch. They saw me within 2 hours of my phone call. I showed up early and they took me right away. The front desk staff, the tech and the vet were all absolutely amazing. They were all happy and genuinely friendly and concerned for the health of my dog. My dog gets fiesty at the vet and normally has to be muzzled if anything that needs to be done may cause pain. Everyone was totally cool and understanding about it. Most of all, I have never actually had a vet spend the amount of time my vet spent with me. I had several other questions about my dog that had nothing to do with his ear infection and she answered each thoroughly and thoughtfully. Every time I've been somewhere else, the vets are in such a hurry I can barely give them a good history of my dog. Not this vet. She listened to everything I had to say and was fully of answers and recommendations. My dog's conditon is also a recurring thing, every other vet has just been concerned with fixing the inividual infection and not finding the underlying cause. Thanks to NAAH, I am starting a regimen that should identify what is causing the problems with my pet. What an amazing experience, I will absolutely use this vet as long as I remain in Austin.caring, respectful staff
I have only good things to say about this place. I had originally taken my cat there a few years ago and the experience was satisfactory, but when I took her back again about a year ago, they had changed management or something, because it was all new staff and veterinarians. However, it was a welcome change. Dr. Silvers is wonderful and really seems to care about all the animals. She answered all of my questions, and even called to check on my cat after she had a very upset tummy. It's those extra little touches that are what put NAAH above all other vets I've taken my animals to. Plus, the male vet techs are quite cute!Too many changes too fast
This place has more staff changes than I can count. I noticed there are no longer the names of the vets up on the building *(they used to keep them up there and occasionally change them to add a new addition) but I guess even the veterinarians change all the time now as well as support staff. My recent visit
Citing other vets in the area, this hospital has prices that fit my budget. I found all staff alert, friendly and helpful. Yes, possibly others have found employment turnover distracting but it's true in other offices as well. I have no problem returning to this office to serve my veterinary needs.Your dog will thank you!
My name is Ginsburg, and I'm a puppy. I love going to see Dr. Mouser at NAAH. The techs are always gentle with me, and everybody gives me treats! Dr. Mouser makes me feel better when I'm sick, and does his best to make sure I don't get sick in the first place. I didn't even mind it when I had to stay overnight for pneumonia treatment. I've heard my master say they aren't too expensive, but I'm a dog and don't know what that means. If you go to NAAH, tell everyone there that Ginsburg says 'Hi!'.Worldwide > United States > Austin, TX > Veterinarians
