My girlfriend hired Kathleen Newman + Associates, and she greatly regrets doing so. My friend was divorcing her husband, she was a house wife for 20 plus years and didn't have any income. Kathleen Newman assured my friend that her soon to be former husband would be the one paying for the divorce, she assured her time and time again that he would be the one paying for her services. My friend believed Kathleen Newman, so she retained her for $5,000 which came right out of her modest personal retirement account, and that $5,000 quickly added up to roughly $48,000 in very short order, again, Kathleen kept assuring my friend that her former husband would be the one paying for the divorce, she convinced my friend that she would be receiving monthly alimony payments in the amount of $5,000 or more, and none of Kathleen's assurances came true. The bills added up to over $80,000. My friend couldn't pay the law firm, so Kathleen Newman sued my friend and since she didn't have enough money left to hire another attorney she had to defend herself against the Law Firm of Kathleen Newman + Associates, and my friend didn't have the expertise needed to defend herself, so she lost the judgement and Kathleen Newman = Associates then placed a lien on my friends accounts, then Newman & Associates drained my friends account of every dollar. My friend was distraught, and attempted to kill herself when she found out there was no money left in her account. This was one of the worst experiences in her life, she ended up getting less than half of the alimony that Kathleen said my friend would be getting. These people didn't seem to care a wit about my friend, they came off as being cold, and impersonal. As I'm writing this, my friend is now packing her things and getting ready to go the Hospital to receive the care she needs after having a nervous break down 2 nights ago. Imagine the shock of looking at your account balance being turned to zero... Well, that's about all I have to say, it's really a shame that my friend hooked up with this so-called law firm, and I hope all those considering hiring Kathleen Newman + Associates look elsewhere for their services. Thank you
