Just be careful if you plan to get services from Realty Masters. I found out about this broker through craigslist.org over two months ago and requested their services so they can help me find a flexible apartment in the Bronx, New York. During the last week of June one of the associates showed me an apartment that I really liked and intended to rent ASAP. I went to the office with the pertinent documents and the payments they required: the first month rent, a deposit and the 1 and half brokers fee, they also had me signed a \\\"LEASE\\\" and refuse to give me a copy at the time ‘cause the landlord needed to sign it. They said that I would get my copy a few days later when I get the keys. I was supposed to move into the new apartment on July 1rst. Two days before moving into the apartment “I rented”, I got a call from the same associate that showed me the apartment (I thought he was calling me to ask me to pick up the keys) but he told me that I won\\\'t be able to move in because the landlord of the building made an arrangement with a tenant and decided to rent the apartment to that person… blah blah blah. They apologized and told me that there was another nice apartment, which would be available on August the first, that I would love. I saw the apartment and felt in loved with it liked it, I decided –because it was more expensive that the other- to pay the difference (of the deposit, the first month rent and the broker’s fee) and wait another month for that “prime apartment”. During the last week of August I learned from the broker’s office that I would not be able to move in \\\'cause the tenant that used to live in that apartment sued the landlord and they were disputing in court. They told me to wait a few more days \\\'cause the landlord was going to take legal possession of the apartment in the next couple of days. By the middle of August I was still waiting for the tenants to move out so I could move in... During the middle of the month I went to the apartment myself and learned form the very same tenants that were living in the apartment that I was supposed to rent that they were not moving out and that he resolved his legal matters a while ago... “Interesting” I said. I went to the office and Edward Espinal, the general manager and owner of Realty Masters told me that somehow the tenants of that apartment managed to resolve the legal issues, and said that there was another apartment in the same building that became available a few days before... He came with me to the building to see the apartment but that was not possible because the super was on vacation and the assistants, nor the super\\\'s wife, nor his daughters had the key of the \\\"vacant\\\" apartment. A day after I went to the building on my own, went to the vacant apartment and I found out that there were people living in the \\\"VACANT\\\" apartment. Realizing Realty Masters’ game, I went to the office and asked Edward a refund of my money ($4,375) and he asked me to come back on Saturday August 27th. I couldn\\\'t go that day because of hurricane Irene… so I went back to the office on Monday August 29th. They game the check in the amount of $4,375 and deposited that check the very same day. Four days later I found out that the check they game me had not funds, so I went to the office and demanded a refund in cash which Edward game after waiting 4 hours. I\\\'m glad he came on time to give me the refund \\\'cause I was about to call the police. So if you plan to receive services from Realty Masters, be careful. Don\\\'t think that what I experienced would be everyone’s experience, but keep your eyes open… that was my experience with them and although there are nice people working for Mr. Espinal in the office, I personally do not recommend his broker.
