Good food, decent prices, good portions, quick and friendly service
There is never a crowd but the food is good and quick and the service is friendly. My family really enjoys the house chow mein which has lots of meat and vegatables in it as well as the egg rolls. I also enjoy getting a bag of frozen pork buns to stash in the freezer and pull out and heat in the microwave for a quick lunch or snack. They are delicious!

Have not had good luck here
I have to say I have not had good luck with the food at Nam's. The quality was not so great. For example the snow peas were soggy and the shrimp dishes lacked shrimp.

decent food, cluttered environment
Nam's food is decent. Their home made frozen dumplings are good. They are fast, and not too expensive. The restraunt is cluttered and could use a fresh coat of paint.

Well
It's dirty and the food doesn't taste fresh. When you take it home it all taste the same and just isn't that great. We tried it on a few different occasions and just where not happy with it.

Recently changed management - try the frozen dumplings
Nams recently changed I think both ownership and management. The new management has cleaned up and brightened up the store a bit -- it's a lot less cluttered and much cleaner. I still would never eat in the store, but it makes it more pleasant to go for pick up. The best choice is actually the homemade dumplings in their frozen section -- they have a nice selection of meat as well as vegetarian dumplings that you can steam or fry (to make pot stickers) at home.Worldwide > United States > San Jose, CA > Chinese Restaurants
