She was awesome, and my kids absolutely love her! My little ones were very afraid, and she didn't dunk them. She began slowly and eased them into it. She brings a bag of kickboards, noodles and toys, but the toys are saved until the end as a reward for listening to the teacher and trying everything even if they're afraid. She teaches for 1 hour, but she'll work with kids on a level for which they are ready. Safety is #1 so she never takes her eyes off the kids and never turns her back to them. She uses fun terms like "Superman," "Sleeping Beauty Back Float," and "swim like a dolphin," which makes it fun for the kids and then they remember it from class to class. She teaches water safety skills too, as well as making sure they know the proper terms and nicknames for all of the swimming strokes. She really is the best because she knows just when they are ready to learn more advanced skills, but doesn't try to rush the kids who are still working on beginner skills. Miss Kass is the most amazing swimming teacher we've ever met and everyone will be certain to fall in love with her like we did.
