Great school for you children

All three of my boys went to Milwaukie high School. They all got their cim (certificate of initial mastery) and they all graduated. The teachers there are wonderful and willing to work with the students if they have problems or fall behind..
Everyone on the staff is helpful and concerned with every student. Milwaukie high school is close to downtown Milwaukie and is a pretty good sized high school with a second floor and areas for lunch and extra curricular actives (Like band and football) My middle son was in two different bands (jazz band and orchestra) The band teacher is excellent and his bands have won all kinds of awards. He also plans a trip each year for the band members to play in other states.

When my boys graduated they have the usual ceremony along with a parent sponsored after graduation party. (No drinking or any other of the usual stuff that might go on there)

There is also the yearbook, which is huge with hundreds of pictures and this year they started adding a CD wit

Lots of pride

I went here 18 years ago. My son is a junior there now. Indicative of Milwaukie, there is so much pride and passion at the high school that many alumni return to be teachers. Many of my teachers are still there today! The sports programs have their strengths and weaknesses. Academics are strong if your kids puts the effort into the class selection. They have college prep program and CIM (certificate of inital mastery).
