WOW! Could I learn from this!
So... I go to see Mr. Cooney about a car, I drive a truck (2004) and it gets somewhere around 13-15 mpg. I decided I would buy a commuter car. He actually has 2 lots, one on Main Street, and the other on Davis. The one on Main St. is pretty much a clean up shop. After looking around a bit (2 hours) I decided on a 1994 Acura Legend. I got out the door for $2800, the car had 175,7XX miles on it, but it is made by Honda, so I figured it was good for at least that many more. I took the car to my mechanic after driving it for a couple of days because it was overheating. Needed a new water pump and timing belt. That wasn't what bothered me so much, it was the fact that there was stop leak in the system (they knew it was a problem) and they told me the timing belt had recently been replaced. It had not. Long story kinda short...don't buy from them! They are used to selling to White trash and Mexicans and don't know how to treat real customers!

We were looking for an SUV for my daughter. We didn't know if we would be able to find one with the dollars we had to work with. Then we came across Mike Cooney Auto Sales. We didn't see an SUV that we wanted or thought we would get our money's worth out of. Then Mr. Cooney says, How about that 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee I'm driving? We drove it. Thought it was great. There were a few minor things wrong with it, but, we took it to our mechanic (Dwight and Don's) just down the road (which everyone should do before they decided to purchase a vehicle), and they gave it the thumbs up. We had to replace the battery about 2 1/2 months later, and we had to replace the Crank Shaft Sensor about 4 months after that, but hey...we bought a 10 year old used vehicle. Great vehicle, great experience. Not only with Mr. Cooney, but Sharon who you will deal with most all the time.

I have read some of the other reviews and one I'm sorry they had that experience. But I have had 5 paid off cars from Mike Cooney and with any used vehicle you gonna have some problems. They are great people, Mike & Sharon. My most recent vehicle was a 95 Suburban I have had it for over three years paid off and still not having any problems.
