We had an awful experience with this company. They made huge screws up on our plans and job, and then wouldn't even communicate with us after the problems were discovered. After their enormous mistakes, rather than work to fix the problems, they did everything to avoid dealing with it even though they know it's their responsibility. We are stuck with a horrible mistake that affects the aesthetics, light, air flow of house, and even our health. Shame on Merten, Inc. We do NOT recommend them. It's one thing to make a mistake, it's another to not take any responsibility or even communicate with the customer. Even more strange - the architect never even came to our building site to see the land/view/etc before designing the house, even though we pleaded repeatedly for him to do so. We should have seen the warning signs then...but their pictures are so nice, we were fooled. Bottom line - they told us they could build our house and then couldn't. They told us they could design our house, and then made mistakes even a starting architect wouldn't make. In our opinion, they ruined our house.

Bad company
Horrible experience. One of the worst companies I've ever worked with. They made big mistakes, then refused to fix them. The worst customer service and, in my experience, they don't stand by their work.

Horrible experience
We would warn people seriously about this company. They accidentally designed all the windows but one on three sides of our house to start at 5 ft from the floor. This means we literally can?t see out of our windows, to our beautiful...Worldwide > United States > Boulder, CO > Contractors
