I would like for someone on the staff of Meridian Hill Baptist Church to search the internet sites that are giving a list of activities from the year 2000 and information that should be updated. I am very sorry that all the efforts that my grandparents, aunts, uncles and Rev. & Mrs McIntyre took to keep this church going back in its early beginnings are just gone. It seems as if the fire damaging the church has ignited the "Jesus Fire" amongst the congregation. This is appalling. I have not visited the church at its present location but I am hoping to do so in the near future. Please we have all this technology, clean up your website and internet presentation. I know that times have changed and most all of the people that were members when I attended are deceased, however, there should be some remnants of the love and brotherhood of the church advertised instead of postings of phone numbers that are no longer in service .....activities that have been enjoyed twelve years ago,..... the calendar is dated for the year 2000. I am sorry that the congregation was not able to withstand the restoration of the church in Mt. Pleasant. That was a beautiful sanctuary. I remember how proud we were , when we walked into the new church ( as a child ) on kalorama Road, and I also cried when Rev. McIntyre told us we would be moving from that location. It was like loosing a piece of me. Come on Meridian Hill let's put the church back on the tongues of Christians in this generation.
