I moved to Sacramento sight unseen for a job, I was delighted at the low cost of living. The Meridian Sh*thole is a perfect example that you get what you pay for. The only upside to this place is that it is indeed cheap. It is located in a horribly ghetto area, constant police presence and there always seems to be some sort of 'incident', hookers selling themselves right outside the gate, thugs offering to sell you drugs when you step out of your car, check your mail, or walk your dog. The "gate" that is suppose to make the complex safe, is a joke and more a hassle to tenants than a deterrence to criminals. Now to the apartments, they aren't the worst but bare bones minimum. Old, basic amenities, tiny kitchens, thin walls can hear your neighbors showering, talking, walking, breathing. No after hours maintenance even though its advertised as such. Something always seem to be broken, maintenance doesn't speak English or have any clue what they are doing. Probably due to the head maintenance guy that looks like a stoner and walks around aimlessly not doing any work, or the ditzy office staff that doesn't know what day it is. Huge turnover, 3 different managers since i’ve been here. None of them know what they're doing, no communication or professionalism. Maybe my standards are little too high...so if you have none this is the perfect place for you!
