Worst car servicing center
Worst ever servicing center I have been to. The manager is so careless and he thinks people should believe what ever cock and bull stories he says to the customer. I have recently been here for oil change and patch up for my tire. Instead...kevin j

We typically have gone to Merchant's for oil changes, but recently we purchased tires for my car there as well. They are reasonable and the service is great.kevin j

I had my car for sale on Craig's List recently. The car was a 03 Honda Civic. The car runs and drives perfect. I had an interested buyer come to see the car and wanted it inspected at this Merchants Tire near their home. I said no problem since the buyer was paying for Pre Purchase Inspection. The location took 2-3 hours to do the inspection and then I received a call from the buyer stating that the location found several items wrong with the car. I was shocked and told the buyer I wanted to get my mechanic to check it out. Apparently the merchants "Recommended†so many things that Honda does not even list on their maintenance schedule. They said the car was leaking oil yet I've never ever seen a drop on my garage floor. When we picked the car up, they took 15 minutes to find our keys and inspection report. The gentlemen could never find the actual inspection report. So he began hand writing an estimate sheet. They listed $40 windshield wipers, numerous flushes and shocks on the estimate. Since the Merchants decided to "Make a Sale†on their services, I not only lost the sale but I won't ever trust Merchants ever again. I called my Mobile Mechanic later that day since I was worried about all the things they recommended for my car. My mechanic whom I trust had changed my oil and checked the car out in November. He told me not to worry and that our car was in great shape. So the moral to the story don't trust this location and NEVER USE THIS LOCATION FOR USED CAR INSPECTIONSNot Trustworthy :(
I called Merchant Tire located in 100 Town Village Dr., Cary, NC 27513 in April to get a cost estimate on installation of the tires if I purchased the tires from TireRack. I was quoted $132 out the door price my car with TPMS. The price included installation with TPMS, lifetime rotation and balance and all shop fees, taxes for 4 tires. I verified this twice with two different representatives, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. I placed my order with TireRack the same day. When I went to have it installed, the representative (Rodney) spoke rudely and with arrogance and he asked me for $181 for the same service. I told him that I verified the amont before and was told $132. He refused to agree and came up with multiple excuses. With every response he tried to express that I do not know anything about my car and as if I am wrong in any/every statement I made. When I told him that I need a day to think about it, he asked me to take the tires away and this is what I get for ordering them from TireRack. He pretty much left me stranded at the last minute, taking benefit of my situation. I am an old customer of Merchant Tires and have not recieved a bad service like this before. Is this the customer service to be expected from Merchant Tires going forward ... to put down a customer and behave with arrogance and rudeness? The take the benefit of the situation and over-charge the customer?Worldwide > United States > Cary, NC > Auto Repair
