McMenamins Pub 205
One of my favorite McMenamins. They have a great location of of I-205 and Washington St. The restaurant is one of their nicer ones. The food is standard McMenamins, but very good. I love their Dungeon Burger, and their fries are the best.Keeps local feel
One of the things I like about McMenamins is that you're always comfortable right when you walk in because it's familiar as a McMenamins plus they do a great job keeping a local touch to it. The food at Pub 205 was good - I like their Garden Burger. Parking was a little tight. Service was o.k.Burgers and beer
Great place to eat. Easy to get in and out of with good food and good drink. Staff is wonderful and always seems to be in a good mood. Great burgers and home brewed beer is always in season.Worst service
Waiter and staff was rude (our waiter interrupted me mid-sentence asking for a NAPKIN, to tell me "Uh, I'm on break. Someone else will help you"). Staff was apathetic, food was mediocre. Will not be going back. Not what we've come to expect from a McMenamin's location
We stopped in for lunch. The brew was, of course, the same as the other locations. The food was almost as good but there was nothing spectacular about this 'strip mall' location. Part of what many people have come to expect from the McMenamins is locating in beautiful, historic locations. This diversion from that made for a less-than-pleasing experience.Quirky, Fun, and Awesome Burgers
We go to McMenamins 205 about once a week for a beer and (usually) a cheeseburger from their after 10 menu. That menu has gotten smaller in the past few months, but those cheeseburgers are the best bar burgers anywhere and they come with fries for around $4! We have never been rudely treated at 205, in fact, we always feel like welcomed friends. Yes, the strip mall location is not historical or very beautiful, but in East County, hey, at least there's a McMenamins and they have done their best inside with quirky old advertising signs and cool paintings. Over all, it a neighborhood pub with good beer, great burgers, and funny-friendly staff--there is one server who calls every group "gang"--hey, how's it goin' gang?--even if it's just the two of us--we always have to laugh at that! They play interesting music and you can listen (eavesdrop) to old guys from New Jersey (by their accent) talk about their time in the service. It's a fun place!Worldwide > United States > Portland, OR > Restaurants
