Avoid this Restuarant
Their was very big hype about Mayuri so we took our friend who visited us (Houston) from New Mexico to try this Mayuri for the first time. Man, what a disappointment!!!Horrible service and food going down hill too
Some college friends and I use to go there often, the food was eatable for us college student standers making up for the bad service. Until last week, the whole group of our friends got food poisoned by their buffet, from a $15 dollar buffet. I don?t think any more need to be said the reason I will never go back there, not to mention the servers think so full of themselves and the manager has no respect for woman. He wouldn?t even look at you when you are talking to him, I got mad and snap at him once because he was really rude to my girlfriend and he just walked off. So, don?t take a date there. Since, the food is horrible now, I will NEVER go there again.DISGUSTING - Feces in all toilets, Place filthy, Horrible service, I'm going to report it to Health Authority!!
This was the WORST restaurant experience I have ever had. My boyfriend and I had seen the place in passing, so finally decided to try it. We walked in and the place was packed with Indian families, so we assumed that the food must be really great since Indians were eating there. Otherwise, they would stay home and make the same food if they wanted to, but for free. Long story short, we waited an hour and a half for our 2 small dishes. They were DISGUSTING. Also, I went to the restroom and found them to me the FILTHIEST place I'd ever seen. There was feces in all of the toilets and it was just the most sick thing I'd ever seen.Great Hyderabadi Biryani
My husband and I go to Mayuri all the time, haven't tried anything but the Hyderabadi Biryani and it just soooooo great, love the location, the ambience, and of course the food!!!Worst customer service
ThIs restaurant has the worst customer service and the rudest management. I specifically requested no nuts in my meal, and the water still brought out a dish with nuts. After I became sick from a peanut allergy, the manager still demanded that I pay. The management was rude; I will never return to the restaurant, and I would not recommend it to anyone!WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ANY RESTAURANT
I agree with the above description. This restaurant was the WORST restaurant I have ever been to, in any city. I was severely dissapointed with the food when my friend got sick immediately after eating some of their appetizers. I think their food was bad. After telling the waiter that we had to leave becaus she was getting sick in the bathroom, we even paid for all our ordered food that they never gave us. The manager insulted my mother by telling her that he did not want "our kind" of customers in his restaurant.Worst Customer Service in Houston
Mayuri has average food and even worse customer service. The manager wouldn't know what customer service was even if it bit him on the nose. I ordered take out from Mayuri and when I asked that they show me the contents of my order before I left (because I have had bad experiences of getting home with items missing and of course I would not go back to the restaurant at that point) he said NO and that I should do it myself. After I went through everything I actually pointed out that something was indeed MISSING and this guy had the nerve to still debate me on why I needed to see my order. 10 minutes later he still was arguing me - last time I checked - THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. I will never go to this restaurant again.Plastic food and bad service marks the place
I have eaten at street vendors with more flare than this place. I went in and sat down a menu was presented and that ended the service. I ordered my all time favorite Indian dish Vindaloo, which came a la carte with one piece of bread, and was not, offered any starters or anything to go with my one dish. The server was kind of blunt with me and told me it was spicy, not that I could not tell from the small chili peppers on the menu. When my dish came to me I had to ask for the menu again to order another dish because I wasn't asked if there will be anything else. May be they should hire real wait staff and not their cousins. The food was overpriced for the portions I received and the service, how to say this with tacked, it sucked on ice to put it mildly. So in closing if you want real Indian fare and portions size appropriate to the price find another place to go, If you like bad service and over priced under portioned food be my guest.Good dinner on weekday night
Went there on Thursday night 8pm, was not crowded, food came within 10-15 minutes. Ordered Lamb Masala (medium spicy) and Mayuri Special Sauce Lamb (not spicy), both were very good. Wait staff was okay, we waited an extra 5-6 minutes before the waiter came back to take order, water was filled promptly and plates cleared out promptly. The food was just as good and authentic as other Indians places that we like. I would go back again.Would not go back even if someone paid me to eat here
My wife's co-worker recommended this restaurant so we decided to try their lunch buffet. Honestly, I don't know what she saw in this place. The restaurant is big and there was a lot of variety in the buffet but could not find a single item that I really enjoyed. We were in and out in 20 minutes and that is a personal record for me!!Worst Customer Service!
My husband and I used to frequent Mayuri a lot, for we loved their vegetarian options, especially the Veg Biryani!! I might have been to the restaurant at least 10 times just for the Biryani. But the last couple of times, I have been there, i found the the quality and quantity of the Veg Biryani to have reduced drastically.Worldwide > United States > Houston, TX > Caribbean-Jamaican Restaurants
