What a surprise!
Best breakfast in town. Best real French pastry. Well hidden in the Charlotte Plaza Building. A must for those who have been to France and KNOW good pastry.

A new gem in NoDa
Being new to Charlotte you can't imagine my surprise and delight when I stumbled across this veritable gem of a bakery. The croissants reminded me of Paris and the service was with a smile. Make the trip...it is worth it.

A surprising Find In Charlotte
Great for tarts and cakes, pastries are heavier than expected (Nova's pastries, esp. pain au chocolat are airier). The place feels very industrial, but who would expect a Laduree in Charlotte, anyway? A nice touch is that pastries are packaged in a white pastry box - (where do those pink boxes in films come from, anyways?).

Was a great place but sadly closed in August of 2007
Marguerite's was a great place but it closed in August 2007. A new bakery with some of the same staff is opening in that location soon.

BEST food still
its a shame she closed. she had GREAT food . Good thing i live with her , i get to have the log cake every christmas. I think she still bakes tarts or otherthings. But now she works with computersWorldwide > United States > Charlotte, NC > French Restaurants
