Absolutely terrible company to work with.
I would only recommend this company to someone I truly disliked. They charge an exorbitant fee of $100.00 just to tell you what is wrong with the computer, which you probably already know, and then give you an exorbitant quote for the repairs. Their solutions are unreasonably costly and they did not have the integrity to suggest the more affordable alternative means to reach goal of making the computer functional. Finally, they are just not available during user friendly hours. I had a horrible time trying to pick up the computer after I decided to not have them do any of the work - once I told them that you did not want them to do any more work, they held my power book captive. Every time I called to ask about picking it up, I got a voice message machine and they did not return my calls. When I did get a live person, they indicated they were not available on Friday afternoons or at any time on the weekend for pick up. Thus, if you are an average hard working person with a work schedule between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., weekdays, good luck getting your computer back. They would not even ship it back to me. They were just completely unreasonable, I ended up without my lap top for an extended period of time at great inconvenience to me, and thus I give them an overall lously rating. Customer service is not their priority, nor is integrity. Their main goal is getting your dollar with no consideration for what is ultimately the best solution for you. Ultimately, my computer is now functional and working fine with the $140.00 I spent at Fry's for a new power cord and external drive, and a basic reinstall of the OS with none of the unecessary repairs exceeding $1000.00 that they had recommended. Beware and go elsewhere, if you must have professional repairs done.Friendly and knowledgeable staff with customer service that can't be beat.
These guys are great. They solved my problems that no one else in town could reproduce. I made an appointment with them to drop off my machine and didn't have to wait in a single line! Having a one on one conversation with a real mac expert was a relief compared to the nosey atmosphere of their competitors. They called me shortly after to let me know exactly what it would take to make my computer as good as new. I ok'd the work and two days later they called to let me know the work was complete. I made another appointment to pick it up from them and not only did they show me my problems were solved, but they allowed me to bring in all my accessories to make sure they're working and spend as much time as I wanted to make sure all my software was working perfectly before I left. I would recommend this place to any mac user that doesn't want to stand in noisy lines and wants the best possible service for the price.Thieves
Over the course of 18 days, this idiot tried to repair the computer with no success. We are still trying to just get back our broken machine. DO NOT USE!!!WRONG diagnosis and charged for it
Awful, just horrible. Gave me the WRONG diagnosis..then charged me for the wrong diagnosis. Mac Doctor has not one clue what they are doing... they do not know computers. Advice: go to apple or anyone else.Avoid Mac Doctor at all costs
First of all they took forever and gave me incorrect feedback on when my repair would be done.Honesty, Integrity, Efficiency
These guys are great! I've been taking my laptop to the mac dr for over five years. He has always gone above and beyond the call of duty. He has always repaired my laptop in a timely fashion, and takes the most cost effective route to do so. They always treat their customers w/loyalty,respect, and the upmost of ethical character.the responsiveness and service have been exceptional
I have used the MacDoctor on three occasions. On each occasion he has been responsive and reasonable in cost and time. Most recently we had a logic board ruined (operator error). He checked all options, saved the data and coordinated the purchase of a new computer. I had adapter problems with the new machine and he called and came to our home at night to make sure it was corrected.Dont Bother with Fashion Valley or UTC
I dont know what these below customers are talking about,Great Service: Good job at an affordable price
I have had this rather quirky Mac G5 for over 5 years and it started acting up...you know the drill the dreaded gray veil that occasionally descends across your screen like a harbinger of doom. Well my meager skills were unable to diagnose with tech tools, nor were two of the Mac Doctors competitors able to do anything. Diagnoses (is that the plural form of diagnosis?) ranged from "nothing wrong" to "needs a new logic board" (read: EXPENSIVE). However the guys at Mac Doctor were able to spot the problem and fix it at an affordable cost and now the machine is running great.Worldwide > United States > San Diego, CA > IT Services & Computers
