Art Museum Gym with Good Yoga Classes
This is a pretty cool neighborhood gym with great yoga classes. The space is great with wood floors in the class room and an open space with all the cardio equiptment. The staff at the front desk are pretty friendly. It's a little bit pricy but the general vibe from members and staff is down to earth.

Lifesport
This is a nice neighborhood gym. It's a bit pricey considering there is no air conditioning and the bathroom is no frills. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Adequate gym in the Art Museum area
If you live in the Philadelphia area and want to avoid the chain gyms, Lifesport may be for you. However, be prepared to still pay the same price, if not more, than the nearby PSC. You have to sign up at the front desk for most of the cardio machines and are thereby limited to a certain amount of time, which is annoying.
